Most games have issues on launch days and major content updates. WoW, Destiny, Battlefield, Halo: MCC, etc. etc. Being pissed about it is like being pissed about cold in January.

Yeah it sucks, but you're really just stressing yourself out over something that can't really be helped. Give it a day or two if you can't stomach launch day woes. Sounds like it'll be better for your mental health.

Just ever so mildly. But I have a job and things to do. Like... doing laundry, maybe vacuuming the house. I don't know. I'll try later.

I bought mine through Steam so I've put in a refund request. I'll get back to you to see if they honor it given that the expansion just released.

Honeybunnies, we're talking about a huge MMO patch during a global pandemic (ZOS working from home, more players at home wanting to login).

What did you expect? Sweetrolls with glitter glazing?

0, in fact -5. I didn't fall for the Greymoor scam and I never will but or "pre buy" a release or DLC until the faults have been resolved ( well, until MOST of them have). I'm not trying to be smug here, I would like to play the new stuff on the first day but it hasn't ever worked in my time on ESO and I don't believe it ever will: at least until someone in control in ESO (is there such a person?) bites the bullet and sorts out the mess before the live release day. Fortunately there is more than enough enjoyment to be had in RL so that's where I'll be playing..... for the next few days at least.

No just delay it until they are ready is all, it's not rocket science.

I'm only a little bit annoyed. Stuff happens, and I didn't really expect to play much today anyway. They really should get better servers though.

Seems most people are either 'meh' or REALLY mad but not that much in between. :p

As for me, I picked 2 not so much because I am upset at all which I am not, but more because I feel bad for the ZOS people on-call to go into the office and work on this, and for the inevitable backlash the technical department will likely be seeing.

Hopefully corporate is as understanding as the people who vote 'meh' given the whole work at home virus situation being significantly out of the norm with people working out of their 'comfort zone' to say the least. Mistakes are expected in such an environment.

I don't really think they would see patch day technical difficulties (which EVERY game occasionally has, virus or no) as something that will do any harm to the company's reputation given industry standards.

    Why?

EDIT: I mean it is obviously temporary, and they will probably be at the very least banned for a period of time with all gains confiscated, but regardless and honestly just out of curiosity, why would that be something someone would care about?

What other people are getting to do that they shouldn't?

I used to buy at least one pack of 21000 Crowns each month. About 4 months ago after yet another *** I decided to just not be bothered anymore…. I went on to play RDR Online, my ESO+ ran out and I couldn't care less. And then, you know how it goes… You start to forget all the frustrations, you buy another 6 months of ESO+ and Greymoor, you start playing again… And quickly are very much reminded of why you stopped.

    I voted a 7 here, because I can't be really upset, since I was just expecting this…

I wasn't planning on playing it on day one anyway. I'm really far behind on content and even if everything worked perfectly fine and dandy Western Skyrim would be unbearable right now due to Disneyland style crowds marching all over my single hero's journey. "Only you can save the world. Don't mind the literal line of people standing around for this boss thread to respawn and kill it before you get one hit in." Thanks, but I'd rather continue my exploits in Auridon atm, gotta get Cadwell's Gold out of the way in order to get to Summerset.

I played maplestory for 8 years.Warthunder for 6 years, I've played vindictus for about 2-3 World of tanks for 1,5-2 yrs, i've played archage and TERA for a couple months. i've played guild wars 2 for a year and a half. and i can come up with more if i had the patience for it.

I've never encountered a MMO that systematically has been having these issues. I've never played an MMO that after releasing an expansion has to roll out 4 maintenances within 2 days just to make it playable. i still haven't been able to log in since greymoor dropped because they keep deciding to do maintenance. Which clearly the game needs, but the thing is. They don't seem to fix anything when they maintain the game. so whats the point of them anyways?

fun fact that i'll keep saying : Vindictus even Compensated us for the downtime during patches. Their version of premium just stopped ticking down whenever they initiated an update. Don't get why its such a bad thing according to the comments on this forum.

Greymoor has been delayed for about 12 hours, so what? Its an expansion in a GAME. I have things to do in RL, hang out with my dog, trim the lawn, cut hedges, sunbathe...........
