The Elder Scrolls Online comes to Stadia Pro June 16!

On June 16, The Elder Scrolls Online lands on Stadia Pro. One of the most beloved and deep multiplayer RPGs of all time will be ready to play instantly across your laptops, desktops, compatible phones and tablets, and TVs with Chromecast Ultra. Just claim it for free with Stadia Pro. The Elder Scrolls Online on Stadia also features the Morrowind Chapter as free content.

And The Elder Scrolls Online is launching with crossplay support with PC, which means you’ll be able to play with friends across Stadia and PC. The Elder Scrolls Online also features cross-progression with PC, so you can carry over your progress!

It also appears as though you can link your Stadia account on your ESO account page now too.

I think it's also important to note that Stadia Pro has a free two month trial. That's means anyone can play ESO free for 2 months.

Stadia is AWESOME by the way.

My only question is if I can migrate my Xbox account to Stadia or PC. Otherwise this news is more than a little frustrating.

I also like Stadia and probably will get back to ESO if I can transfer my PC EU account to the US as I moved here a few months ago.

Free trial only applies to United States.
Thereafter why would you pay $10 per month for a game you already own. You would also have to re-roll again and buy all the expansions/dlc/have a separate sub

Finally ESO performance is bad as it is, can you imagine all your skills in cyrodiil having to sync with the cloud?

It'll run better. The game client is housed on Google servers. You'd be surprised at how smooth stadia is.

    @Dominoid
Are we ever going to get cross play on consoles? Get the BG population up a bit so we can have a group queue?

it will be interesting to see how this plays out... it is tempting to check out Cyrodiil to see if there is a difference

Oh boy. I hope this will not be a gateway for bots.

This is not the case - at least for PC players. According to this interview with the project manager at ZOS -there is cross play, cross progression and cross entitlement.
Somebody playing Elder Scrolls Online on the PC or Mac platform, whether through Zenimax Online Studios or Steam, if you're already in the game you can jump on Stadia and just carry on exactly where you left off. If you're a Stadia Pro member, you're going to be able to get into the base game bundle that we have. And from there, you know, previous purchases. Any of the progression, all that stuff is going to be fully accessible within Stadia, which is super neat. And the reverse is also true, by the way.

If I want the Stadia experience then I'll smear my monitor with petroleum jelly.
So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

I already own the game on PC and it runs just fine most of the time.

WHY do I want to buy it on another platform and pay an additional subscription so I can cross play my PC account on Stadia so I can play theoretically on my cell phone? Why would I want to play ESO on a 3 inch by 5 inch screen when I can play it at home on my 27" monitor? Does not make any sense at all. No thanks.

You can play it free for two months as long as you have a high internet usage cap or none at all. Playing it in HD is just like streaming an HD movie. Granted, many of us have like 1T per month usage.

My guess is there is double the chance for lag. That is a ping to the Stadia server you will have a virtual desktop/console then the ping to the ESO servers that are not at the same location.
