avoid "COMPLETE" message before update/maintenance is really complete

I think ZOS must run several tests before any "COMPLETE" message. They should try to avoid so much frustration of people who are keep paying a lot of money for any new chapter...

OP, you might want to edit your thread title before this thread gets locked for spamming...

But here, take an awesome first.

Title may be considered a spam, but it's just an advice for ZOS with very good intention only.
I cannot understand how ZOS can repeat the same mistakes again and again and again, to see always the same frustrations.
There are many players who are restarting the game from time to time, hoping that game is improved, then leaving again after repeated frustrations. There are always issues with any kind of product, but the level of service is making always the difference.

Yeah the Update is complete but there was an "issue" and they had to take the server back down. (someone on forum said there was an exploit of some kind regarding Greymoor access - but I have no idea if they are correct)

Not an exploit, just that they had forgot to add the check that player had to own Greymoor to access it.
Its not set up on PTS after all.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

There is nothing they can do to please those who get "frustrated" when an MMORPG has issues during launch, DLC or expansion update.

MMORPGs have been around since the 90s and EVERY SINGLE MMORPG has these issues, if this causes you "frustration" my advice is avoid new launches, DLC or XPAC releases for a few days.

I guess this is especially hilarious to me since I keep having the log out bug here, but every time I change the page, there's a glaringly red banner with communication about what's going on. But since we've degenerated to hyperbole, how many expansions have had this issue previously, you know, being able to access content you didn't buy?

At least Elsweyr. Lots of people got to make, and keep, necromancers when they hadn't purchased the chapter. You'd think someone at ZoS would add this to their pre-launch checklist.

ZOS, give people a “free access” ‘weekend’ and turn it back on. Just make sure people know if they didn’t pay for it their access is temporary. Why should we all pay for someone’s coding/oversight mistake? And note, we ARE paying for uptime.

It's not my frustration here, I understand and I know MMORPGs have these common issues. But ESO is a top 10 all times MMORPGs in my opinion, with a big budget so they can manage in a better way these issues.

Yeah, but MAJOR slip ups like releasing an entire chapter to the player base for free happens with every single MMORPG too, right? ESO has one of THE WORST track records of any MMO imho, please do not defend the very obvious and constant neglect that plagues ESO for 6+ years and counting. :#

Yep, that should be on the checklist. Given the duration though, I'm thinking there's something else involved. Hard to say, but the banners are still up there.

our payment was performed in due time (even prepayment), so everywhere in this world, any other product or service must be delivered in time and good quality; when it is confirmed, it must be ok; We deserve at least an explanation, a better communication, something that shows respect for customers, but we receive instead messages like "the post was deleted because it is not constructive". So this is the level of respect we receive:

My friend, in my business where I'm sales manager, this kind of communication is killing the business over the night; I would arrive with zero customers fast. This is not communication and this is not a professional behaviour, but if you are happy with "work ongoing" then ZOS should be relaxed and they can keep the same habit...

    So the update was in fact "complete" but it was open for all players, even for those who didn't paid for the game;
So they stopped the game to solve this "issue", while they could keep it free for all players for few hours...
Few free hours could be their best mistake, the best advertising for the game so many players may get excited to buy it

So how much of your "communication" could result in your customers getting all your company's items/services for free? Game companies in general do not list what they are working to fix, in case it's an exploit that could be capitalized on by the players. As we can see, providing a time is met with "but it's past that time now". So I guess my next question is this: If you have an issue with a customer, and can't give them an exact timeframe on dealing with it, are you planning to resign for your inability to do your job, or, are you going to let them know that you don't have a time frame, but will be working to get it resolved as quickly as possible? Because if you're going to do the latter, but hold other entities to a higher standard, aren't you being a bit hypocritical?

you are right ... no problem, but there are repeated stories with any new update and usually claims are necessary, to improve the level of service; they need a push...

I paid for all chapters, which are not cheap; Ok, if you are happy with this level of service and communication, then we have a chance to become a better world, because we are too impatient and nervous sometimes, I agree.... I'm serious here...

We could all stand to relax a bit. That's kind of my point. This kind of thing isn't new to gaming, not by a long shot. I've been around the block a few million times, and tend to just take things in stride. I didn't even start downloading the update until about 20 minutes ago.
