Yes! There is another post about this right now. It works with chaosball too. It used to happen just here and there but now some players deliberately do it and it is sooo annoying. Just today I saved 2 videos of it happening and it is always the same players every game. They found how to do it pretty much 50% of the time when they die.

There's one player on PC-NA who exploits this bug constantly. I've witnessed him do it many times, sent in game tickets on several occasions, and know that others have as well. While in a game with him on my team this morning, I said something about it in group chat and he essentially bragged that ZOS wouldn't do anything to him:
