For around 2 months or more, people have been addressing huge issues with the server. It's almost as if you have 100 people on crown store performance on 2 people on server performance....

    There is a great post on reddit regarding this, i suggest you take a look at it instead of calling out forum moderators;

    https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/gmzkdw/thinking_of_picking_up_elder_scrolls_online/

I was always told that Reddit was the place where negativity is not allowed and that the forums are for salt, but holy moly that's the most upvoted thread I found there.

You didnt look very hard 2 out of the top 5 "hot" threads have more. One has 2.4k upvotes.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/elderscrollsonline/comments/gnob4n/years_ago_i_used_to_lead_a_gaming_clan_today_one/

They were probably referring to "negatively interpreted" threads having so much support, honestly it's a great post with very little biased, hopefully it will help Zenimax get the financial support they need from the investors etc.

Having said that, ESO is not the most optimized game client around, but, decently modern machines should still laugh at it.
I had 100 fps all evening last night, ping was 80-110, which has been the 'normal' value since I started playing ESO before One Tamriel.

Fun fact for you: Eso is the only game where I experience issues of that Kind. In other games my ping doesnt go above 30. In Eso Im lucky if it is at 100. I tried out a BG today to check if Performance for those got any better, result was average ping of 200 with multiple 999+ Spikes and 2 to 3 second delay on nearly everything but I guess thats just on my end too never you mind that all my teammates had the same issue and we likely had 4 completely different Setups, Connections, ISPs etc. but sure all the users fault, nevermind that Zos knows there is a big desync Problem and that Cyro Performance stopped working normally 5 years ago whenever prime time happens.

What other popular multiplayer games do you play? Give me a list I'll provide you with posts of people saying exactly what you guys are saying about eso.

LoL, Smite, sometimes tft, starcraft 2, Dark Souls and other not so popular ones. Cant say I have heared anyone in These games talk About having up to 3 second delay with ping being at normal values. League used to have bad Server Performance years ago but it was adressed and fixed.

I don't know to much about "gaming" but I did just look at the stream charts.

In April ESO had 49K Peek Players which is almost twice the numbers from March. I think that might have been around the time I pulled my hair, got possible arthritis in my fingers, and uninstalled the game. It makes sense that the Zeni team wasn't expecting that type of increase and the servers started working over time.

Howerver, my question is why is it some game called "PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS" can have 913,075 Peek players but ESO can't handle 49k?

Probably because that game was built for handling Serverside calculations unlike Eso lmao.

They localize players into smaller servers. When <100 people play at the same time its easier to manage.

Dark Souls isn't really a multiplayer game. Its a single player game that allows trolling form other people.

Also I forgot most players ( more than likely ) don't use steam. I'm sure the number is way more than 49k Peek Players.

I played a ton of dark Souls 2 PvP didnt see much trolling there.

Most say they are done but yet hangout in the forums for years it's all about feeling included and getting upvoted.

The word you're looking for is 'validation'. They have to have someone to validate their opinions and thoughts, because they don't feel like voicing their own thoughts and opinions w/o protection from some kind of groupthink.

Nah, it's just attempts to make ZOS realise that their servers are atrocious when it comes to raiding. The game has a lot of potential, but it's hard to stay motivated with servers like these.

It's not statistics, just a way of saying that servers are bad really often, and you have to be very lucky to get a instance that's playable, ESPECIALLY during primetime. Maybe you didn't notice because you're are RP, idk. But in raids it's absolutely atrocious.

My question was genuine. Where is the 90% coming from?

my point is over half the time you WILL NOT get a playable instance. And when i say PLAYABLE i mean an instance where there's still delays on mechanics and abilities not going off properly. You have to be really lucky to get a decent or good instance, which you have to sepdn your time on resetting the instance several times until it's "good". People don't even bother raiding at primetime any longer because they know it's useless

I've quit playing like 2 weeks into Harrowstorm due to the instance roulette. I still come to the forums from time to time to see if ZoS does anything about it so I could maybe start playing again with Greymoor. Scrolled back for over a month on the devtracker and no mention of it.

It's just sad because this is a great game, but ZoS regularly messes up massively. This isn't the first time a patch has broken something important and it's also not the first time for ZoS to take forever to fix/acknowledge an issue. They even have the nerve to write this in their performance post from last month:

"There’s been strain on the servers, but they are holding up well – a testament to the team and the hard work they’ve done over the past year on performance and stability."

    https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/56681

Essentially they are blaming the bad performance on quarantine and working from home however they fail to acknowledge that we had issues at the end of last patch already, before quarantine even was a thing in most countries AND it got worse as soon as Harrowstorm got released from one day to the other.

    Sad state of affairs ZoS.
