Gifting Game Time and Expansions.

I have a less fortunate friend that cannot afford the expansion at this time and game time, and I would like to gift them to him, the problem is I don't see options to do such a thing with The Elder Scrolls online, any Idea why? I can gift crown store items but not game time and game expansions?

You can also get them a gift card for whatever platform they use. It will work the same way, basically.

I don't know. Steam has gift cards? Or you can buy them a generic visa gift card?

i think what they are saying is get a pre-paid gift/credit card ( from a local store), fill it with lots of money and send me the info.

After you get the card, pass along the info to your friend, so they could use it to buy the expansion.

You can order Crowns, expansions and ESO Plus time from places like Gamestop.com in which they will email you a code. Just make the purchase (has to be digital version) and email them the code you are given. I have one of my accounts locked from purchasing due to a dispute from Discover on a card that no longer exists so I can't get it reversed, so the option I stated above (Although I go to the actual store because a friend of mine manages it), is the only way for my main account to get any content that most people would get directly from the ESO online store.

I'd be wary of ordering ESO+ time from Gamestop. (The 60-Day Subscription.)

The last two times I tried (this year, prior to the pandemic breaking out), I ended up canceling, because both the orders just sat there for days, unfulfilled, despite the page stating 'Available Now'.
I had ordered the same item from them several times in the past and the orders were always fulfilled instantly, so there is something hinky going on now.
I'm thinking maybe they don't actually have access to those giftcards anymore, and they just haven't updated their webshop to reflect that.

Oh that stinks. I would have assumed the website would immediately email you the codes. I guess it makes sense I wouldn't know that aspect because I go get the physical receipt with the code on in. Either way, sorry to hear that and sorry my work around isn't as cut and dry as I had hoped

I wish they should just make it easier to just gift it without all the workarounds.

I would do that, but I'm Canadian and he is American, so I can't use the gift cards since they're in a different currency.
