Scathing Mage uptime on magsorc with force pulse/crushing shock

I'm wondering what the uptime would be on a magsorc (pref non-pet) with a fairly standard rotation, but with force pulse/crushing shock.
I play on PS4, so I can't acces the pts unfortunately, but I'm interested to see if it can reach 60% reliably. Because then it would be better than Julianos for example.
Scathing mage just seems like a really interesting set, always has been, but it has never really shined as far as I can recall.
If anyone can tell me, thanks in advance!

I'd expect it to be higher than 60%. A Sorcerer can easily reach 75% crit. Force Pulse + light attack means 4 direct damage attacks. Each one has a 75% chance of proccing Scathing Mage. So there is a (0.25)⁴ ≈ %0.3 chance for all of them to fail. Which is extremely low. So you have 99%+ chance to proc it the time it expires. However this doesn't mean it's going to have close to 100% uptime since you won't be lucky enough to be always Force Pulsing instantly after the effect ends. Let's say it's around 80% uptime which is pretty good.

Uh, isn't Scathing Mage a 20% proc chance on direct damage now (making crit irrelevant to the calculation)?

That's not how the set works anymore. It has a 1 - (0.8)⁴ =59,04% chance to succeed on a typical force pulse + light attack. After I posted this, I thought of when it procs also matters a lot. If it procs on the end of your spammables in your rotation, it gives way less benefit than if it procs at the start. I think a 6 seconds long activation would go a long way, even if it seems like nothing. Or a small increase to 530 spell damage or something.
But I'm still wondering what the practical uptime would be.

Ohh I completely forgot about it, it no longer requires critical damage and also even if it worked like that, I forgot to consider the 20% proc chance on my calculation. It looked unrealistically good :D
