Its not the hardest hitting and maybe a weebit clunky, but with the heal attached it seems to me like it could find a place in some builds.

However not once have I seen this morph used.

So does anybody use it? If you do, what kind of strategy do you use, how do you build around it?

Or is this just a completely pointless morph that sees no use and is totally unviable?

yea ill use it next patch when they kill suprice atack ...

i had a use of it once in vMA (i was cp 300 on last boss' ring and lacked selfheal) but it's less efficient for pure damage than any other spamable either range or melee.

it can allow a burst if you use a second spamable with it like crushing weap => snipe => la or crushing weap => la => any melee spamable.

Still the main point on this skill is the heal tied to it which can help in pve if your healer is chasing butterflies or if you are into blood frenzy-ing at 6.0.x release. In pvp tho, because the heal is tied to the dmg done it becomes unefficient. NB have the same issues with some of their skills and i think we all agree that heals based on dmg done are ok for pve but crap in pvp.

another point, it's clunky even on bows.

I'm playing ESO for so long now, I'm no longer sure when a skill or set is unpopular, is it for a genuine reason or due to fashion trends. I main a magblade in PvP. The comparison to Swallow Soul isn't entirely apt. I believe most magblades still run that skill for lack of better alternatives. They badly need all the healing they can get. On the other hand the Swallow Soul heal persists for 10 seconds. That's a significant difference.

No, I have not used Crushing Weapon outside of that vMA trick build. It worked rather well as the main heal, though.

I am used to playing classes that feature healing while attacking. Magplar. Magblade. Even a stam DK has some of that feel via Cauterize and ultimates or if you use dual-wield (Bloodthirst / Blood Craze). I am, in fact, so used to this that I find stamplar rather hard to play, at least when the build solely relies on Rally and Vigor. It feels like I'm wasting loads of GCDs on heals (or I die) and that's compounded by a spammable that is a channel, during which you can't block.

Skills like Crushing Weapon may not feel like they're doing much in PvP. They do, however, become significant when you stack multiple sources of such heals, for example Leeching Strikes and perhaps a Restore Health enchant (more of a mag thing). I think what stops Crushing Weapon is the lack of popular or obvious build options that would incorporate it. Who plays a bow stamplar, for example, or who wouldn't slot another spammable as their main one, because they only use Crushing Weapon for burst. This could change if some class was (accidentally) changed to fit a straight up Crushing Weapon / bow playstyle or maybe if there was a synergistic armor set. As it stands, of course, Snipe is far too good a PvP skill not to use that.

Stopped using it after a few incredibly laggy nights, where I watched my character become worthless as they spammed crushing weapon without light attacking anything.

I am always surprised again how much depth and thought lies beneath your feeble surface.

This ability seems useless as a spammable, but viable as delayed burst in pvp which I dont think was it's intended use.

You can activate crushing weapon, then fire a snipe off and light attack at the same time, and fire off silver shards after and all of those attacks will hit at the same time.

I tested that extensively against a dummy and couldn't get it to work. Crushing Weapon + 1 sec GCD + Snipe (1 sec cast time) = 2 secs. Your crushing weapon has expired by the time the bow light attack leaves your hands and it doesn't register.

If it was 2.2 - 2.5 secs or something, it would work. I think the 2 secs duration on Crushing Weapon and 1 sec cast-time on Snipe are done with that in mind, to stop you from landing a 3-skill burst in the same second.

If you want to use imbue weapons with a stamina weapon, it is much better making a hybrid and spamming elemental weapon than going for crushing.

This never worked for me. Only Snipe>LightAttack>CushingWeapon

Yeah, I have used it, but I generally don't.

Mainly because it just feels awful to use, its awkward and in busy content easy to misfire and miss your damage.

Frankly that's the case for the magica version as well, but I find it a little easer and more consistent, so it sees more use.
