Chance for gold mats from daily crafting writs?

I've been doing the daily writs for all my characters but I don't know if crafting skill levels affect the chance you get gold mats. I've seen conflicting information from a few posts and I'd like to verify. So for example if I level my Tailoring skill to level 10, will it give me a higher chance to get Dreugh Wax?

There's a higher chance with higher writs level, so not so much your crafting level but how many skillpoints you've put in

    For Woodworking/Blacksmithing/Clothing,

The odds of getting a gold improvement material goes up significantly as you move up the tiers. (I've found it's about 3% at tier 1, up to 30% at tier 10)
The odds of getting a survey are constant at about 12.5% regardless of level
Master writs ONLY drop at max tier (tier 10)

    For Jewelry

Max tier writs have a guaranteed grain drop, weighted towards Iridium/Zircon/Chromium, lower levels still drop but weighted more towards Terne/Iridium and at a lower drop rate. I have not done enough testing to determine those drop rates, as max tier jewelry writs are VERY profitable if you sell the platings/grains
Survey rate is still constant at 12.5%, regardless of level
Master writs ONLY drop at max tier (tier 5) (this is not really that meaningful, since JC master writs are pretty useless)

    * I read that it is for jewelry 20% chance to get a gold material as a reward when you are at max level.
    * I think doing Blue JC master writ only (26-30 vouchers a pop) is good. Use it to buy furniture plan; 50/50 chance getting a rare purple plan that is worth thousands of gold. Purple and Gold JC master writs are not cost effective.

    Yes.

But, if you don't have the Skill Points to spend on a leveled Alt, still do the writs as you can buy the tempers with the gold you make. Doing all 7 Writs could get you enough Gold to buy one Wax each day even at Tier 1 with current prices. Two Alts for sure. Run 10 or 12 through the Writs, you could buy enough Wax in one day to upgrade one item.

    Yup, that's correct

Jewelry at max tier is closer to
    10% Terne
    35% Iridium
    30% Zircon
    25% Chromium

as to which one of the 4 you're going to get.

But, because you can get double grains, and sometimes even a full plating, the EFFECTIVE drop rate is closer to
    12% Terne
    40% Iridium
    35% Zircon
    30% Chromium

I hardly ever get Iridium. I have less of that than zircon or chromium. I do crafting writs on at least 8 characters every day.
