World PVP?

Hey so I'm still 'sort of' new to this game. I don't do a lot of research on what happens next, as I'm kind of playing this game by ear. I'm currently level 20 in Grahtwood. Is there any way to fight other players without going to Cyrodil? Or is that the only source of PvP.

I don't want to promote ganking or unfair slaughter amongst players, but I was just worrying if you could go and siege other towns of other factions? It's just something that would be really cool to experience.

Nope, Cyrodiil is the only place where PvP happens

It's far too scary for most people to contemplate the potential of being attacked anywhere. Which is hilarious because there is essentially no penalty to death.

    /sigh.

Cyrodiil's great for pvp...just a shame you cant level properly there, I'd be there all the time.

I have yet to go into Cyrodil. I guess I'm way more of a PvE guy. I just always loved world PvP in other MMO's. As much as getting ganked constantly in Vanilla WoW sucked, and running into random Sith in SWTOR could be problematic, there was something exciting about running into players of other factions.

Maybe in an expansion or patch they can add a zone that mixes players up.

This would be a great world pvp game because all classes have stealth. The game story is great but I need the thrill of world pvp. Is it that hard to just do a pvp server for at least some of us? I know I can go to Cyrodill but I would miss the great story and a lot of skyshards.

World wide PvP would end up to Hun groups roaming around Tamriel smashing all in their path. Such isn't worth of large scale pvp unless you can flag pvp on or off no matter in which alliance area you are on that point.

No it's not cool a experience. Not anymore.Open world PvP is not enjoyable for the vast majority of players, that's why it's hardly ever implemented in these games.

And there's one simple reason for that; it's just totally unbalanced and people grief and generally abuse their power. You must remember that a lot of juveniles play these games, and if they can find a way to be rude or annoy other people to somehow make themselves feel better or 'cooler' they will. They're not about finding stimulating, challenging and enjoyable gaming experiences anymore, they're about being 'leet', showing off, getting the coolest gear or some other material possession/s to fulfill whatever hedonistic end. Motivations are almost entirely self-centred.

It's unfortunate and sad, but that is the reality of the popular MMOs these days. You only have to have a look at the emphasis placed on 'leveling' and 'auction houses', or listen to /zone chat, to see how many's priorities are completely skewed away from what the very essence of an MMO is.

Was it always so? No. In the past it wasn't that way, but the times have changed, seemingly concurrent with the ever increasing popularity of MMOs

If you can be anything, be kind.

Lets all agree that your own opinion is the truth. Because its not. And what about immersion? This game will lose alot of players along the line when people figure out that veteran leveling is just a rehashed grind as a ghost in the other faction and that world pvp is impossible.

I am myself a true PvE'r more than PvP'er but the lack of world pvp AND the way they made veteran leveling in other factions is the dumbest ive seen in any mmo.

What on earth justifies my BRETON TEMPLAR to go quest as an Aldmeri follower?

These things are by far the worst about ESO as it is right now..along with the stupid limited 5+1x2 hotbar so that consoles could keep up.
