Elder Scrolls Legends in ESO taverns

I will be nice if Elder Scrolls Legends will be integrated in Elder Scrolls Online so players from ESO can play ESL matches directly from taverns and have a minor chance to receive ESL cards playing ESO (rare drop from bosses, chests etc). Elder Scrolls Legends integration looks nice ESO gameplay enhancement

After careful consideration (and oh! so much deliberation) we have concluded that you circumstance sounds too much like a l2p issue for it to be just a mere coincidence.

I want TES themed (re-skinned) retro games on long loading screens. TES asteroids, tetris, centipede, space invaders... just something to kill time :disappointed:

Except in Dec 2019 Bethesda ceased all new development on Legends. It will slowly go to the way side.
It was a cool idea tho!

It's a shame. The artwork was amazing.

for me this can be one of the best idea ever, mainly because I remember how I love running might and magic games to go through tavern and play ArCOMAGe!

I would be all for a version of it ( my decks tended to be mostly blue / purple though I did mess with WW's in red)

I would say its problems were complexity of play with the multiple lanes and the whole lose life gain cards causing a "stack board till one shot" gameplay that was boring.

you either stomped, or got stomped, and getting crushed was especially unpleasant when you had to sit and wait for it to happen over the course of a few turns.

seeing a stripped down version ported to ESO would be amazing though. even just cutting life so matches would be faster would be welcome.

Along with simplification to make it more accessible to play, they'd have to strip out all of the cards related to characters and events from later in the timeline.

The invade mechanic in TES:L was broken though. Completely ruined the game for me and several others, and it makes sense why the game didn't survive long after that. Still a good idea though OP as the game was rather fun while it lasted.

    I've long wanted tavern games.

But I don't want to see Legends personally, I'm sure some do, but I'd rather just see more basic tavern games.

If it was legends they would tie it up in random achievements, sell more crap around it in the crown store, make it a whole thing with skill points, etc. It would end up becoming this component of the game instead of a simple side thing to do for fun when you are bored.

Maybe that's what some want, so I'm just stating my view on it.

If you could go into a tavern and sit down and play a Tamriel version of chess, checkers, poker, etc. that would be a great addition. If it was super involved of a game like Legends, I'd probably not be interested in getting into that and end up feeling irritated if titles, achievements, dyes, furnishings, etc. were locked behind it.

You do know you can concede rather than persevere in an unwinnable situation (even against one of those opponents too afraid to win)? When you're actually in-game the Concede option is visible in the Settings menu.

As for the OP, there's a 40-card deck option in the Asian version of the game. Maybe that could work.

I actually like the idea of a form of it being added in the reason why because they already have cards for it from the crown crates. Which I do think was inspired by the Card Game. It would be neat to have that in the game.
So this has my full support.

I would love to see stuff like this added to the game, they could also make them into furnishings to allow you to play them in housing if you wanted to do player tourneys or guild activities.

I would like to see more aspects added that let you "live" in the world, but done in a way that wouldn't force players to engage if they didn't want to.

I could enjoy it, BUT only if they added a much scaled down version of the game, like when they do their events with only singleton decks, or only rare and below cards, or some kind of fun weekly restriction so that the game is not the same boring *** where you feel very little control in how the game plays and just hope you draw your degenerate stupid cards in the right order. *** playing against gates, *** playing against 3-4 playsets of hard removal, half of which are prophecies, and *** playing that game as it is because it's rather unfun as a game, it's a decent art/lore supplement to TES but the game is 100% stupid degenerate decks with little choice/interaction. All I play is singleton Telvanni anymore because it's the one stupid degenerate deck I don't feel completely awful about playing, and when you get that Therana+Siege combo so you can siege your sieges while you siege your siege and then betray to siege your siege instead of stopping sieging.

It would be nice. Any person who loves TES lore should try Legends (at least for artwork).

On the other hand it would give hope to TESL players since they feel cheated when development was halted.

Yeah legends in a tavern would have been great they could have literally saved the card game and gave bored players in eso something to do. They even could have had cards drop from stealing, boss specific cards, the new antiquities, random enemy loot, even toss a few booster packs in crown store and impresario while at it. Would open a huge gold sink for players trading and buying the cards and packs even make zone specific like vivec card from vvardenfell, almalexia from mournhold, soltha sil from clockwork amd onwards. Doesnt really have to be lore friendly given its just a side minigame.

    I did that lol...

But in truth, it's a great idea that could make taverns a social space, as they are irl...

There is a wealth of opportunity in this idea.

Or like most lore in eso they can disregard it entirely and shell out the cards regardless. A Few lore thumpers won't stop a cash and gold grab

I'd love to see any kind of mini game added to taverns. As others have mentioned just having checkers, poker, etc would be great. Every time I play red dead redemption and I'm playing cards or horseshoes I'm thinking why MMOs don't have these.

Another thing I miss from Lotro, and this doesn't have anything to do with games but increasing the enjoyment of taverns and other social areas, would be to implement musical instrument playing. I don't know how many here played that old MMO but having people actually playing instruments in game, forming bands and playing in the Prancing Pony and other areas was pretty cool. It would be nice if this game had other ways to try and pulls folks together for a bit for some social interaction.
