New Race

I have two race ideas, the first is Falmer, or snow elves by common toungue! I have came across this idea because I have recently completed a quest that involved the falmer and there were only 2 servivors, 1 after you complete the quest. There was a mention that in time, the Falmer shows signs to become normal again. The second idea, is dwarves! I admit I have not worked out a way to bring back the dwarves, I am still working on that but. The Falmer would me Magicka based and dwarves would be Stanima base. Thank you for at least checking out this idea and I am looking forward to knowing what everyone thinks and if zos will consider the idea given that ESO and Skyrim take place around the same time and that Falmer, would still be alive.

New races are brought up alot and I wouldnt mind the additions, but I feel like itd be very hard to bring those two race into ESO, when they both kind of "got dealt with" around the same time spans. If I remember right most of the Falmer either got wiped out by the Atmorans, or became slaves to the Dwemer, which vanished off the face of tamriel, leaving the beast like Falmer to their own devices in the underground. And are you referring to a quest in the new zone? because if so itd be really hard to justify adding them in now since youd have to explain why there can now be normal civiliized falmer all over the gamespace. And it is worth noting that ESO is nearly a thousand years before skyrim, and the falmer in TES 5 are still beast like. Overall it wouldnt be a bad idea, I just cant think of a way to rationalize it (other than just multiverse explanations lol)

These two races have never been playable in Elder Scrolls games ... I don't think ZOS would go against the grain on that.

Dwemers all vanished exept only few who were in another realm so.. No

Falmers become savage primitives because of dwemer poison, those who didn't accept dwemer offer were killed by nords.. Nords didn't took prisoners, they killed man woman and children, because well, nords.. so thats also no :)

There is a continent east of tamriel. Monkey guys, snake samurai guys etc. live there. That continent's people may be avaible if they want it.

A robot race may be an option too. From a daedric realm or from clockwork city maybe. Who knows?

It could be.. Snake people at some point invaded tamriel from akavir, maybe even started blades as protectors of dragonborn.. But I don't know in which year exactly it was

This was what I was about to say. While I'm not opposed to the idea of a new race per se, these two are about the absolutely worst possible options and really should never be included as playable races.

Yeah don't think either of these would work. A Snow Elf skill line might be plausible as a reward from a Snow Elf NPC for a Forgotton Vale DLC but I doubt we would get anything relating to Falmer. A dungeon DLC with some motifs and a Snow Elf set is the closest we would get if ESO wanted to tap into the Snow Elf lore.

Thanks for the insight, I wasn't referring to the new content coming out. Was wondering since to my knowledge, Skyrim V was around the same time and since there was a quest were one of the falmer was still normal when you get auriels bow in Skyrim V, I thought maybe there would be a way to at least work in Falmer.

I like the idea of the snow elf set as reward! That's a really good one!

Zos has seemed set on keeping to the races that have been playable in TES all along. It would be tricky doing a story to bring them in the playable realm without looking like an obvious ploy for more cash.

    Just to verify time lines.
No, they are not around same time. ESO (2E583) is 948 years before TES:V (4E201).
The decimation of the Snow Elves happened in the Merethic Era, and they had already taken refuge with the Dwemer by start of First Era.
The disappearance of the Dwemer was in 1E700. That is approx 2,800 years before ESO, so no, the Falmer we know are what is around in ESO. It was rumored that a small few Snow Elves retreated to the Pale Pass when the rest took refuge with the Dwemer, but that too would have been in late Merethic / early 1st Era, so no, lore wise Snow Elves probably aren't around in this time line.

The one in TES:V is a exception, kinda like Yagrum Bagarn is the last living dwemer in TES:3.

I think this is one of those things that players need to let go of. Maybe a bit of a legacy Elder Scrolls concept you could say that will not be changed: The ten races that exist are the traditional ES races from ES games. I doubt they will add random races to that line-up. (But you never know I guess).
