I'm just curious - what would you prefer zone chat to be like? Serious question.

Don’t worry no one is going to be looking for vamp bites next patch so that will solve half your problem.

you guys miss my point. these are repeating messages. it means vampire and werewolfing arent working how it is supposed to be.
and there should be a dolmen group queueing or something.

It is made specifically to find help with something, including bites and dolmens, amongst other things.

Dolmen group queuing? They can't even get dungeon queues to work properly.

Of all the things to be annoyed at in game, this is yours? Serious question.

It would be nice if there were channels for each zone. For example, a trade channel, an event channel (to spam for dolmen invites and world bosses), and the general zone chat, but I can't see that happening so we just have to tolerate it.

Auto Invite works pretty reliably. We don't need ZOS getting involved.

In the future, I suggest you lead with your actual complaint/suggestion (that you think there should be a queue for dolmens and bites or whatever), and then use as your evidence the fact that it comes up so often in chat. You can cut down on the number of responses that have nothing to do with the point you thought you were trying to make.

Group queue is to place people in smaller instances, I can't imagine the strain that would added to it by trying to also matchmake group open world content.

We also disagree about the abundance of people asking for bites signaling a failing of the WW/Vamp system. The bit that I find to be rather lovely is that usually there is someone who will give those people a bite without charging them. That sort of thing helps build community. As the player giving the bite almost always gives a quick run down of what a player should do in order to level up their WW/Vamp.

I would rather Zos not micromanage what we can and can't say in chat any more than they have to, these sort of things are exactly why the ignore button exists. If they limit these messages, it also means that world boss pugs will also be stifled, or potentially people asking for help, or trying to trade/sell items as there is no way they could differentiate. The game already has spam features, but on your end they don't seem to be working because multiple players are saying the same thing.

If ignoring those players isn't something you're interested in doing, you can also change the settings on your chatbox to only show certain types of posts/info by selecting from the options presented in the settings tab. You can even setup multiple tabs and swap between them for when you're trying to perform a set task. Additionally there are chat add ons which add much more functionality as well. All of these solutions put the power squarely in your own hands to deal with as you see fit which is precisely how it should be handled.

There should be a bot in zone chat, connected to major news agencies that would stream endless lines with latest news including one hour of world wide stock ratings and one hour of current temperature and weather across globe.
After that, 3 hours of religion talks, all major relegions included.
    That would be great.

No mention from OP of the far more prevalent, and mile-long, guild recruitment ads? Strange........

I will use zone chat if I create a new character (which doesn't even happen once a month) to ask for a bite.
If it isn't anywhere near the time for the NPC biters to be out in the wild, and only because I can't bite my own characters.

Otherwise I keep zone chat turned off.

I might see one or two other people ask while I am waiting. It's rare for me to see repeats on those asks, and I rarely need to ask twice, but if I do, I wait at least 10 minutes before asking a second time.
If I don't get an answer after the second ask, I shut the frak up and move on, precisely so I DON'T come off as a spammer.

That would be Stonefalls, for some weird reason lately.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis
