Compassion for the Game Devs During an Epidemic

One thing I have learned that many here complaining about this game must be new to MMOs, because every MMO I have played has had similar issues.
    • Lag
    • Class or race imbalance
    • Bugs in new content
    • Bugs in old content
    • Login issues

In the last ten years I have easily played more than 5 different MMOs and each one experienced the same issues. There is no instance flip of a switch FIX to these issues; they take time to analyze to determine the route cause. Once the route cause is known a team works on resolving the issue. When they do this the odds of introducing other bugs or issues can happen and typically do happen. This results in more people being brought in to help resolve the new issues. This is an ongoing process that cannot be resolved as quickly as many want. And as new code it added to the game it adds more complexity to an already complex system.

Developers are doing what they can to ensure game stability and longevity and sometimes it just doesn't pan out and other times they fix way more issues than they introduce but we as players tend to get outraged for the changes they introduce that we simply don't agree with. Those changes may have had to happen to help system performance, improve game play for new players, etc... we need to appreciate the developers for making the game run and keep it running. I know I am.

As someone that has left other MMOs because I didn't like the direction the game move towards, I don't hate the developers for those choices. I just didn't agree with their choices and moved onto another game. Right now I'm really enjoy ESO and all it has to offer. I can see many good things coming but I don't expect them to happen over night.

THANK YOU ZoS team for all you are doing to keep ESO up and running and finding ways to continue to add new content to the game given the changes to work conditions that you are facing like the rest of the world.

I get that some people love the game but those who do are mostly residents of ESO, not players.

It's difficult to care about developers as people when they clearly don't view customers as people.

Once you realize that they do view customers as people, you will see it in more of what they do.

Sometimes I don't get it, people get angry and i see that when someone just suggest to be a little nicer to the dev in this period someone argue that there are not doing something essential or important.

Yes Indeed ! So keep in mind it's a game ! A wonderful fictional universe ! Yes you can be very passionate but don't get so mad to something made for ou entertainment ! This is not a subject in my opinion to get so mad or angry.

And for the "I'm a paying customer I'm a King" If you can't afford 40$ that's fine no one force you to buy anything right now. The Base game is very cheap (in France it's only a few €), you know what you get when you buy it.

And if you regret buying the Game 5 years ago, oh wow you loose 50$ or 60$ 5 years ago...

    I really don't get it ..

Be kind, the world is depressing let's keep this place more gentle <3

No compassion, because it is not the subject, we talk about the same problem since 2015 : fps drops/latency.

For trash talk, this is because the game got worse :'(

All players with compassion are solo player, casuals, playing for quest/lore and only doing some dungeons and nRuns.

    Greeting all,

After reviewing the thread and removing some posts for Bashing, we have decided it best to close this tread. It would seem that was headed in a more negative direction, and Bashing is a violation of the rules, and is stated as such:
