A little help for a returned player?

So, while we are all sitting here, twiddling our thumbs, I have a little question.. I have been away for some time, and only recently returned.. I left during the early Warden days.. A lot of stuff seems to have come out since.. So instead of sifting through all of it, I ask you guys, what are the "main" crafted sets for the stamina nightblade bow users these days?

You are in for a shock. I don't know how strong they were back then, but the NB class has been decimated since. I'd honestly consider making a second character and put the stamblade on sabbatical for the time being (I assume the class will be buffed at SOME point, but I'm not thinking it'll happen in the near future.

Hunding's Rage is still really decent, and the New Moon Acolyte set is really strong if you don't have sustain issues. There's a set coming out called Stuhn's that will be crazy strong if it goes live as well.

First try logging in. Can you login now? Nightblades have been nerfed into the ground. Main crafted stam sets are about the same with some new ones.

Hundings Rage, Night Mothers Gaze, New Moon Acolyte. Beyond those...have to look in game to write more which I cannot do atm since all the servers have login issues.

In all honesty, I'd come back after they fix this. If you are going to do questing and overland stuff, it's enjoyable and the bugs are not that big of an issue. If you are going to spend time on dungeons or trials, seriously, go play something else for a few months. Content can't be cleared under current conditions. Wow, that's a lot of Cs.

Run you fool, can't you see we are all rioting?

Ps ! Check Alcast or wiki's for sets - there are many out there.

for cp pvp go w/ New Moon Acolyte / Master's Bow, Spriggans and Bloodspawn. Works well for this patch (harrowstorm)

You can have a look on Alcast builds. He has various types of gear that work for every class, including crafted gear.

I have many nightblade characters, but they are only a shadow of what they used to be, most stay home and do writs these days. The templars, sorcs, wardens and my one necromancer are more likely to escape on an adventure.

NB have been balanced but still viable option for any type of game play. Zeni is short staffed at the moment because of the pandemic, so this buggy game is buggier then it used to be. Still lots of game play is very playable. Im having a blast. As far as sets, I would goto Alcast and look up nightblade builds to see what sets you may need. Skills and sets have changed allot. WB and dont let the forums get you down, still lots of fun to be had.

A bunch of words from people I have never known, will never get me down  As long as I like the game, I keep on playing.. I jumped on to the Bethesda train in '94, and never looked back

I said/thought the same thing until my NB became so un-fun to play that I couldn't take it. Some people make it work and are good at it still, but I am not one of those people. But I was never super good at it in the first place, so the extreme nerfs just made it harder for me.

As for crafted sets, New Moon Acolyte has already been mentioned 1,000 times, but I'll mention it again. It'll give you the most damage out of the crafted sets, so it's an obvious choice. Pairing it with Hundings might be a good option if your goal is to go full crafted for some reason, though personally I'd opt for something like Spriggan which can be easily farmed from Bangkorai or bought from other players.

I stay fully crafted, since farming dungeons simply don't have enough interest.. I literally fall asleep.. Many a WoW raid back in the day, have been done with my snoring in the background, and then they wake me up for the bosses.. I just can't keep awake for it

Well, I have enjoyed the game from the beginning, with the problems. Regarding your question, take a look at Alcast builds. He always keeps you up to date on the best gear (crafted and pickup) for your class.

I don't play stamina much but I often craft for people who do, always Hunding's Rage seems to be the starting point :)

Then if the players don't know what else they want(and I can't advise cos I have no clue) I invite them to grp with me and join me at my Guild's crafting house.

I then give them 10mins or so to have a look at all the stations to see what they fancy trying, that way they get to maybe try something different...…

    Diversity can be fun!! :)
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

I totally get that. Fortunately Spriggan is an overland set dropped in Bangkorai. You can find pieces of it in chests, looted from world bosses or dug up using treasure maps. If you've got the gold, the easiest way is to just buy it from guild stores. It's a very, very nice set with a strong 4pc and lots of penetration on the 5th.
