why are people so insistent that we should pay separate for the crafting bag?

In my opinion, paying £8.99 a month for free crowns, free crown store items, along with discounts, free access to all dlc, and the xp boost and craft bag is well worth the monthly price. if not worth a lot more. having to pay a separate price for the crafting bag is a bad idea. I'd rather pay the monthly fee for eso +, rather than eso + and then a separate fee for a crafting bag that'll possibly cost more. for what eso+ costs for everything you get for it, it's a great price, and is worth so much more than what they charge us.

Sure, pay per month as much as Netflix and you get randomly logged out and Cyro endless lag. Nice deal!

Agree. Heck, I wish the game was subscription only like it use to be. That would remove a lot of the toxic people from this game.

I think because some people want the craft bag but don't care for anything else.

At the moment I wonder why I drop so much money on this, seeing as I take time off work to play it and Zos can't even get their act together and make the game work in the first place.

To the OP essentially many people want the game to basically be pay once and free forever after. Without any actual statistics to back me me up, simply discussions with guild mates I would guess conservatively that ESO would loose more the 50% of their present subscribers if they made the crafting bag a one time purchase.

Lag and getting kicked out of PVP zone has nothing to do with the ESO+ cost. ESO+ cost is recovered in crowns you receive each month. All other bonuses received are just that bonuses: DLCs, craft bag, 10% xp gains, lower crafting time, etc...

I have no problem support ZoS by buying the chapters, crowns, and membership.

If you got the game on steam and there is a free weekend going on you can create 9 steam accounts and "share the game through steam" because you have already installed it on your pc while logging in on your other steam account.

Takes a bit of time but a completly free way of getting a guild bank.

Could pay for craft bag and only farm DLC dungeons during free trials, or buy a standalone month on release. Be cheaper.

What is free? you are paying just with ESO+ over 140$ and where are chapters ? makes it close to 200$.

Because they are probably unemployed and cannot afford £8.99 monthly, so they are looking to make a one time bag purchase from moms credit card or welfare check, and continue to play for free.

I think you are misreading the request, no one seems to be asking for the craft bag to be removed from ESO+ and made a crown store exclusive. A lot of folks have requested the ability to buy the craft bag, similar to how the Merchant/Banker are. The primary reason would be folks, like myself, who own all the DLC and have few things they want to spend crowns on, don't need and xp bump and sub primarily for access to the craft bag. I'd rather make a one time purchase for the craft bag than maintain a monthly sub that offers me very little, aside from the craft bag.

no it wont fix that problem. the craft bag automatically puts crafting items into the bag as you get them. so your main pack never fills up with node items. no need to go to the bank at all to put them in your craft bag.

Because every time someone tries to finagle getting the Craft Bag without having to subscribe, ZOS' accounting department has to buy marketing a beer.

The real question is why so many people think it makes financial sense for ZOS to separate one of the major unique benefits from the monthly subscription.

and that bank and the bag can turn into a trap. if you decide not to be plus anymore, when you craft, all of the mats come from the crafting bag, not your pack or bank. and of course, you will not have any room in your bank to empty your pack.

    It doesn't, for them.
They would lose so many memberships.

I've had ESO+ since week 1 just for the craft bag.

correct. what you are doing is basically buying crowns and getting the bag and dlc access as a bonus. i pay by the year, which is a bit cheaper.

chapters cost because zos needs income.

It actually does, but then again I've been playing since before the crafting bag was a thing and inventory management was a thing. The free ESO+ events just allows me to repeat the process. It's really not that big of a deal. If you want the craft bag, be a sub. It's really not that much of an incentive for me to sub and I've yet to have inventory management issues after making my own guild bank. You also have 9 other private banks at your disposal. Storage! STORAGE EVERYWHERE.
