New item rarity coloring for "Mythic" items?

I read that there will be a new type of item found through the upcoming Antiquities system, called Mythic! They are few and rare it would seem.

With that in mind, does this mean Mythic is a new "rarity" above Legendary... potentially with a new color (Red, Orange, something?)

To me it would make some sense, but I do not see evidence of that currently...

Yes, it’s orange on the PTS.

ETA: Mythic piece tooltips/description windows also have a knotwork kind of border, which helps distinguish them further.

If there were just a mythic item for healers...

Yes Mythic items for healers are missing, hope they bring more over time.

I hope they bring roleplay / fun mythic items ,not just serious ones.

For roleplay they could bring rings for vampires / werewolfes:

Hircine´s cursed ring : Hircine cursed this ring as a challange for his greatest hunter: he should proof that a werewolf is ALWAYS stronger than the oponent as long as he is transformed, so he created this ring that it may weaken the werewolf form and transfered the energy taken from the werewolf into the ring, wich in exchange granted the werewolf to stay transformed as long as they want, so they could proof they are the ultimate hunter even if they are weakened through the ring (losing nearly all bonus stats while transformed) / Lamae Bal´s ring: well for this ring the same, you also lose nearly all positive bonus conditions (like seeing through walls).

(how even does a guard now that you are the ww when you run transformed past them, as long as they dont see you transform you should not get a bounty, they should attack you yes, but a bounty normally can only be given when it is known that the ww is YOU, i mean: it could even be a guard wich transformed, so how did the guard know it was you?)

For fun items it think about visuals (maybe blood dripping from your hands / weapon) or sound based, like when an opponent dodges your attack your weapon will scream "NOOO", or it wants to give you advice how "not to stand in red circles" (could get annoying over time, but as long as you are the only person wich hears the weapon talk it could be funny).

It is a cool looking orange. :) It looks mighty. And the tooltip screen of mythical items also has some symbols to it as you can see that normal items do not have.

Orange and I’m just starting to run purple! Always 2 steps behind lol! No matter, just more grinding, RPG’s are gonna RPG!

Other games have mythic/orange items as a pay wall though. I’m assuming ESO the trade off is still time for the best items though right?

It is technically a paywall here too, @Everest_Lionheart.

Antiquities is locked behind the Greymoor chapter.

However, with the new content in addition to Antiquities, it's looking like a worthwhile Chapter to have (IMO).

(Ignoring the base game and combat changes, here, and grading strictly on content.)

Point taken. I keep forgetting I preordered Greymoor. Other games I’ve played I’ve literally had to buy items from the in game store in order to upgrade anything and some of those items are a pure drop system where you are at the mercy of RNGesus. So pay money, maybe get item shards, pay more money, get a few more item shards, pay even more money, Maybe finally get enough shards or maybe pay again(and again)

    Repeat for 20 other items...

So here pay for Greymoor, get items after trading your time. Honestly after years of micro transactions this game is a breath of fresh air.

@Everest_Lionheart just wait a little. New games feel awesome untill you learn them more.

I thought black desert was fine and not p2w for example. What a big mistake lol

Should never play games like that.

It's one thing paying a set amount for additional content, which comes with a few additional rewards for completing that content.

It's another paying for the actual items/stat increases directly, or even gambling for them, which should always be avoided.

It could be argued that endless grinding for a few more stats is not ideal either, but at least it's better than P2W.
