@ZOS_GinaBruno Apologies there wasn't a means to ask a question following this post.
Will we see any immediate improvements to performance after today's maintenance? or is it merely preparations?

It sounds as though you are increasing server capacity, do we think this might help with the skill delay, skills not firing etc...?

Thanks in advance!

I'm guessing we won't see any significant changes until there's one of those events when everyone logs in at the same time (I can't wait to log in and be proved wrong, though...).

Anyone else questioning for the hundredth time why a maintenance only for EU server had to happen during EU primetime?

Prime time isn't during european day time but in the evening - basically once the children are in bed.

Right now, ALL DAY is primetime in quarantine...

Always seems to me that we EU's get the short thrift.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend, my Shining Light. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

That would be between 18:00 - 22:00 I think... I understand what you are saying in terms of the timing being in the middle of the day. I think the answer to that is: the company is located in America and doing it early at their local time.

Ha! Try being in Australia, where every Monday's scheduled maintenance starts around 7pm or 8pm (depending on daylight saving) and finishes up around midnight.
    PC NA, PC EU

"Instead of taking the best of the dolmens (predictable rotation), the best of the geysers (scalability based on number of players), and the best of the dragons (map location and health indicators) and adding them together to make a fun and dynamic world event scenario, they gave us....... harrowstorms." https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/6850523/#Comment_6850523

Fortunately we've got the PTS to play around on during maintenance today, so for those losing your minds I'd recommend going there and theorycrafting or something to pass the time. Normally I'd suggest going outside and enjoying the beautiful weather, but that's probably not a great idea under current circumstances.

We may not see any change at all until Greymoor (U26) is released. Hopefully this is an example of ZOS acting ahead of potential trouble rather than in reaction to trouble. That would be a great signal of intent.

Bear in mind the one thing ZOS can’t afford is for PC EU to collapse during the launch week(s) of Greymoor.

And it’s done during the working day when PC EU use is lower than the evening and the people who monitor and implement it are at work and set to finish at a point when ZOS US employees could reasonably be expected to be available approve its relaunch if required.

This is the only MMO in the past 15 years that i've played with seperate european server that doesn't update them corresponding to their timezones.

And don't even get me started on compensation for Subs during downtime! Even NEXON compensated their Paying costumers for downtime

Sweet! Though it's a bit of a shame, because Necromancer's get that awesome critical execute passive which will go to waste

Yeah i know mate, I have minor force and shadow mundus on my live build... but after mitigation a crit is what 20 - 30% in PVP? so is it a choice between sometimes hitting 20 - 30% or 25% everytime

I love playing dual wield so stuhn isn't an option for me

Given tonight's performance, I'm gonna assume it was just preparations... It was insanely bad I spent a solid minute or so running round a wall just trying to heal... I pressed easily 30 times 😂

Spent a further 10 seconds trying to switch bars... I would really love an update on the skill delay?

I would have quit, but it was my last chance to get one more character to tier 3...

I did see a change. For the worse. Performance is as atrocious as ever right now but now I have lovely, 5+ minute long loading screens with each character switch or zone change. Guess I may as well play something else for a while because right now it's too much of a pain to play.

Yes we'll see immediate improvements to performance right after Santa Claus stops by to give every single one of us 5000 Crowns and 30 days of ESO+ for free to make up for all the playtime we lost due to unforeseen downtimes.
