Museum Pieces

Is it possible for ZOS to make museum pieces go into their own category in the inventory like the quest items?

I'd like to jump onto this topic as a new player with "what are museum pieces" and why are they categorized that way? :)

Museum pieces are items you find in certain zones (for example Wrothgar) and you then place them in its museum, and you get things like achievements/costumes/collectables once you find all of them depending on the zone.

They are currently classified as miscellaneous but that can be quite annoying when looking to see which pieces you have or are missing since your inventory is sorted either by status, name or value which is not very helpful, esp when you also have things like glyphs, lockpicks, stolen treasures, soul gems and so on.

You are supposed to drop the pieces off as you collect them, or collect some.

As for Tracking the items you have, there is an Achievement in the Journal that checks off the items. Usually you have to turn them in to get the Check on the item in question.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

PakKat "Everything was going well, until I died"
Gary Gravestink "I am glad you died, I needed the help"

OMG. I had no idea this was even a thing... museums!? Ok, I'm in. Except I think I might have tossed some museum pieces :(

That is true, but I still think having the museum pieces inits own tab would be better than leaving it in the miscellaneous tab

I am just about certain that if you toss a museum piece, it goes back to where you found it. Each one is in a specific place and the museum quests give you a book with clues on locations.
