✭I have purchased a couple of costumes over the years, of my 18 characters, only 2 use those costumes I specifically purchased.
I far prefer to create my own outfits and spend a great deal of time and effort doing so, not to mention gold.
Often, when I have been levelling a character, I will pick an appropriate costume until I hit level 50, when they get an outfit created

- Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
- Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I'm wondering the same thing, I haven't been following every detail of the Greymoor announcements so I may have missed something.
My best guess is if there's a change coming it's something which will make it harder to stop your vampire from looking like a vampire. If that's the case it will make no difference to me, because I'm one of those weird people who made a vampire character because I wanted a vampire, not because a guide told me I had to have one skill for a flavour-of-the-month meta build, so I've never tried to hide the fact that he's a vampire (beyond occasionally eating someone, which reduces the effects of course).
I'm already less likely to buy costumes just for him, but only because I don't play him as much as my main characters so a costume has to be either something multiple characters will wear or absolutely perfect for him to justify buying it (and I've got a pretty good mix already), but I can't see that changing in future.PC EU player | She/her/hers | PAWS (Positively Against Wrip-off Stuff) - Say No to Crown Crates!

Erelah✭✭✭✭@Michae & @Danikat I have not any changes for skins on the public test server. There are a lot of posts requesting clear vampire skin or a toggle to hide vampersim. So this poll is to see if there is any lost revenue due to the vampire appearance. If the vampire's appearance has no bearing on what purchases are made then I do not see any point in them changing how vampires look.
Currently the poll is leading by far is that skin or not does not influence the use of costumes. This would support a clear skin, passive, or skin is not in high demand.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭Why would clothes depend on being a vampire, or the other way around? Skins I can understand, to disguise the undead good looks. But clothes? Anyway I don't do clown store. I change my appearance via outfits earned in-game. Some (in-game) costumes are nice and all, but mixing and matching outfits is much more flexible.0 -
Erelah✭✭✭✭@daemonios For me the reason why clothes depending on a Vampire or not is in fact due based onto the skin I am wearing. If I am wearing the Merdia skin and googles (or the blindfold) and armor that conceals parts of the arms and legs then it hides the vampirism.
The reason why the questioned is not ask about skins is because all skins hide vampirism. There can be a debate on which skins are more sought out, if there should be a clear skin, however there are numerous other threads which cover that topic.
From this sample however the overall vampire appearance is a minor annoyance. It will not effect the purchasing decision.0 -
