Why can PS4 players still not preorder Greymoor? I know there’s still time before it releases, but usually we can preorder months ahead of time. Anyone know?

We on PS4 don't know if we will be able to pre-order Greymoor. Because ZOS hasn't said, one way or the other. For all we know, we may not be able to order Greymoor on PS4 until the day Greymoor releases on PS4. I think all that ZOS has said is that folks on PS4 will get the pre-order bonus when ordering is allowed, but no word on when that will be. I would not be surprised to see that folks on PS4 get the "pre-order" bonus for ordering after Greymoor is released on PS4.

why would you preorder any earlier than a day before release? it is not a smart thing to do to give away your money so early.

With the state of the game being what it is I am glad I couldn't preorder.
Never preorder till the chapter is on PTS is what I am learning.

I usually pre-order the week before it drops, but it’s usually always available well before that.

    This.

I can see if you were new to ESO, it might make sense (you’d get access to the game and could start playing).. but anyone else I’m not sure what the point is... the pre-order rewards are dull anyway.

Long term players who know they are going to be getting it anyway... what difference does it make whether you pick up a $40 thing when it is announced, or the day before it releases? A few pennies in interest?

Possibly Sony has not yet approved the "Chapter".

Would we have seen PS4 preorders if that were the case, though? Because they do exist — in the form of the physical CE. I just can’t see that going to market if Sony didn’t give Bethesda Softworks some indication the game would have any necessary approvals for PS4. Can you imagine if those who shelled out for the PS4 physical CE were then told “sorry, your actual game download won’t be available, but enjoy the extras”? Would Zenimax risk having to deal with refunding customers for that and the resultant PR damage? Maybe they would; I don’t know.

I had my doubts about preorder Greymoor.

But after reading the patch notes I am sure that I will not buy it, at least not at the price, I will wait for it to drop

Pre-ordering the day before it comes out is still pre-ordering.
