Does Slaughterfish hate waves?

This one somehow found herself browsing through racial passives on the wiki's, as the obvious thing to do when left without the ability to sleep on demand.
One thing led to another, and some other Beastfolk's hasty swimming speed reminded this one of Scroll carriers that realizes defeat and leaps well into Cyrodiil's deep bodies of water; leaving the Scroll to the Slaughterfish, and the stranded ones to despair.
Does such foul water really carry no currents, no waves, no nothing - that would gently sway the glowing papyrus back to the rocky shores?
Does Slaughterfish hate waves? Or is it the other way around?
Similar to the Scroll itself, any enlightenment would be heartily received!

✭If that were a thing, it could lead to possible abuse - if you could swim part way across the deadly river(s) and the current/waves would carry the scroll to the other side, where your allies would be ready to pick it up and continue the scroll run.
Effectively that would bypass the current mechanics of the destructible bridges and the "goat path" across the river.
Also, the scrolls will eventually reset after some time, if they are not placed (for any reason) before the time limit expires.0 -
