FIX THE GUILD ROSTER RESET GLITCH!!! - Guild Member Management Nearly Impossible!!!

I MEAN SERIOUSLY!!! This glitch makes it nearly impossible for Guild Masters and Officers to manage guild members notes and ranking as weekly changes demand. It's bad enough you've nearly broken every other aspect of the game that makes it worth while to play. But now, you're just rubbing salt in the wound by making it almost impossible for GMs and their Officers to effectively manage what guild members they still have, after all the crap you've done to drive people away. ~OverThisBS.

So what, exactly, is the actual bug? And which platform are you on? Just curious, although I'm sure this info would help Zos understand your posting too...

It’s been posted several times in General and Bug Reports, and Gina has acknowledged it. They’ve been “working on” a fix for four months now, even though they fixed it a couple years ago as well. (Apparently something reverted.)

In gamepad mode and on console, whenever you’re in the roster and someone logs on or off, you get brought back to the top of the roster list automatically and have to work your way back down again. Meanwhile, if you’re in the middle of settings ranks or porting to someone or their house, you will then do that for whatever random person ends up highlighted instead of the person you originally highlighted and selected.

It’s essentially roulette with whatever player you end up kicking/promoting/demoting/visiting. No sense really in trying those functions at the moment...

I'm speaking specifically to the issue as it exists on Xbox. Unfortunately, we can't just not deal with it because, we can't simply stop managing our guilds until they fix it (again). So, we spend hours fighting with this crap, to only end up being so frustrated and pi**ed off by the end of it, we just log out, not even wanting to play the game at that point.

That sounds sufficiently broken to me, and unfixed for a sufficient period of time as to qualify as illegal.

As a consumer you have a legal right to software in good working order. This being an MMO and guilds being an integral part of that, fundamentally broken guild management tools is not ok.

My advice - video record this bug. Upload it to youtube.

Submit a complaint to Better Business Bureau. They're not an official body. They're independent mediators. They've helped me to get serious bugs like this fixed in other MMOs.

In the event that ZO ignore them, you'd have grounds for complaint under consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. Though depending on where you live that might require you actually taking them to court, even if only a small claims one. Which wouldn't be free.

Individual complaints generally aren't prosecuted but you could also submit complaints to your local consumer protection agency, and the US equivalent, the Federal Trade Commission.

It's not only guild masters and officers that are getting annoyed. I can't tell you how many times I've been invited to a group or kicked from a group right before a trial just because my PSN starts with A -.-
