How about putting all Arenas on a key system like dailies?

Just an idea but it's a pain in the ass to get people to do the Arenas and I think a large portion of people would struggle to complete the vet modes. A key type currency would at least allow people the opportunity to get any of the weapons. Obviously normal mode would take allot longer to get perfected weapons... But to me I think anyone should be able to earn the weapons even if it takes them much longer. I don't see the point in limiting the weapons to the player base that probably needs them less and causing more of a player Gap

Im sure most vets and hardmode lusters will say no but given how bad the game runs and how fragmented player groups are finding atleast 4 players in a guild or on Friendslists who are actually up to the task and won't flake or cancel soon as they die. Had far too many allies just up and bail on me so most 4 man arena dsa and br weapons just kinda sit there locked off.

use the guild finder? they aren't locked off, you are just limiting yourself to either terrible groups of people or just people in general.

I'm in good guilds, still the Arenas take too long and on vet are too difficult for many people... People just don't want to be bothered with them. I'm happy for you that this isn't a problem for you but I do feel it is a problem for many.

Honestly, the vet versions should be toned down and added to a que system and just add a hard mode scroll at the beginning for more advanced groups and award a skin or something.

I just don't see the point in limiting the availability of the weapons and more specifically the better versions to a fraction of the player base. More especially because many add an advantage in PvP. Where, really that is the last place you want to widen the skill gap.

The nice thing about the way they did trial sets is they mainly serve to make you better at trials. Whereas the arena weapons for a large part are very strong in PvP.

Anyone is able to earn the weapons by playing the arena on veteran. "It's too difficult for me" is not an excuse.

It's not too difficult for me(I've done them) it is too difficult for most people however. Making it painful to get groups to do them and it isn't like you can do them once and be done. It's great some people have regular groups to do the content but do you realize far more people don't have the time and/or ability. This forum is far from the perspective of what the majority of the players base is.

The lack of time and ability is not a valid argument, because that's what games and especially games like ESO are all about: investing time and building up knowledge and skill. Those people who have played the content have invested a lot of time and effort into reaching a level of ability that allows them to get those items. Any attempt to circumvent or replace that process basically means we can skip the entire reward system for good and just hand out whatever the people want. Meeting certain requirements to get something is a fundamental process, in life and in games. I want to be a chess grandmaster, but I don't have the time and the skill. Should I just ask FIDE if it's ok if I just play 500.000 games at my local chess club instead?

I think the trials are done well, the rewards are made to better trials (it's well thought out).

The problem with Arenas is the rewards benefit PvP. They are currently tedious and people largely don't want or can't to do them and they give an advantage to a relative small (in comparison to the overall player base) population and even though it isn't going to make a less capable person as good as a really capable person at least they should be on the same footing to start.

I just personally feel if we could at least que for them and lower the difficulty so reasonably competent people could be reasonably able to complete them on vet, then at least you are grouping with people that want to do the content.

Changing it to a currency system would at least give a few options on how to acquire the end weapons and make them more widely available.

I'm not saying they should just be given out. I just think they need to be more accessable. The trials are nice because they give rewards that are trial focused. The Arenas give gear that for a large part is PvP focused. Again, I'm glad some people have the luxury of having people to do the Arenas with... But for most people it is like pulling teeth to get people to do them and it isn't like you do them s couple times you have to grind that crap out. At least with a que system you have people that are looking to do the content.

Absolutely yes!.. Or, they could give it to us on normal mode as they promise. But I want my vma weapon without this stupid grind in veteran mode.

I like this idea, but make the keys earned for completing each wave so that if you don't finish a run, say, due to time constraints, it is not like your run was all for naught. My core team has a member in every timezone across the USA and time constraints are a BIG factor as to why we are unable to finish VDSA. Always get close to the end and someone has to go to bed. We'll get it done eventually, but for the time being, our efforts should not be unrewarded because we didn't finish. And the current sets you get for finishing waves are obsolete, so they're basically just rewarding you with purple upgrade materials - something I can get far easier by simply running a bunch of vet dungeons.

Changing to a key/token system for each round would ensure that even if we don't finish a run, we'll have earned something that we can use to buy a worthy reward once we actually do get around to finishing the content.
