xPoisin✭✭✭Depends on build as usual. I use False God + Julianos for solo, maelstrom and small groups content (like pledges). 300 damage is worth it against 10% spell crit chance...
With this combo and precise frontbar weapon I sit around 67% spell crit chance and about 2500-2600 spell damage. For solo and small groups I prefer Lover mundus and Breton or High Elf for my magplar build.
False God + MS is better for trials where you get all the buffs and in combination with Shadow is definitelly better choice.
I always swap the gear depending on situation — jewels + front staff
Mundus swapping is not needed if you are not running for score runs

✭✭✭✭✭No, Julianos is typically a little weaker than Mother’s Sorrow. The difference is more noticeable in coordinated groups with all the important buffs, but very small for solo content. The main reasons people would use Juli is that it is cheaper, and it can be crafted in any armor weight (to get 5-1-1 for Undaunted passives) as well as any trait to fill gaps in your build and save transmutes.1 -

I run false gods, zaan and mothers sorrow. Crit above 70% (like 73%) with shadow. Was just thinking that maybe i could use some more spell power over crit at that point. I totally forgot about group buffs though.0 -

✭✭✭If you’re never in an optimized group Julianos probably is.
What makes mother’s sorrow good is the high crit and in a trials environment you’ll have minor force and high uptime of major force (Warhorn). If you’re running around solo crits won’t have the same punch.
If you’re just starting and under CP600 or so, I wouldn’t be surprised if julianos is always better. One of the CPs increases the size of your crits so lower CP players won’t get the most out of mother’s sorrow too.Edited by Iskiab on April 19, 2020 7:18AMLooking for any guildies I used to play with:
