ARENA WEAPONS REWARDS

Because of the planned changes to the Arena weapons, with the arrival of the perfected versions of the regular ones, I suggest to @ZOS_BrianWheeler in relation to the current disgust felt by veteran players to have the following:

(1) Normal Arena - RNG-based. The same as now.
(2) Veteran Arena - Players get to pick the weapon as their reward. Traits remain at random.

Or they could just update the current sets to the new perfected version, they do this all the time when they make changes so it just seems lazy that they aren't doing it now.

They would need to rewrite a bunch of code to do that. We already know they can change vMA weapons, such as the nerf they did previously, so they can just as easily change them again.

This is a good solution, but I think they should automatically upgrade our current veteran mode weapons to perfected. As the above poster pointed out, they had no problem nerfing our weapons before... so they shouldn't have a problem now.

Unless of course they want us to have to grind them again.

Seriously, i know quite a few people (myself included) so utterly disgusted by the possible change and lack of instant upgrade, that there is serious talk of quitting the game altogether. vMA is not hard, but i actually dont know anyone who wants to run it 50+ times again for the weapon they desire.

Performance is abysmal as it is... dont push your luck too much zos, as you are just gonna drive away players completely unnecessarily.

Totally agree, would be nicer and easier when we would be able to pick the reward in VET-Mode.

It is a good solution.

Did the devs when making maelstrom and dragonstar think to themselves 'someday we'll raise level cap on gear and people will come back to farm these again'.

Also, and just saying, if they don’t do this, no one is forcing u to get the drops. The difference will be minimal. Most players aren’t gonna even care to do it.

While I think all of us would want it to be easier to get our weapon of choice, OP fails to justify why the lesser reward from normal should be random where the superior perfected weapon that, as I understand it, only comes from vet should also let us pick our reward.

I am sure OP will provide some logic behind this other than vet is harder since that is beside the point being vet offers a greater reward.

They could also just add a token that would drop in veteran mode only and would upgrade any non perfected weapon into perfected one. So people would still have to participate in vet mode to get that token but they could fight with RNG a bit by getting desired perfected weapons in easier way and to transform already earned weapon into perfected ones.
