I'm getting ready to renew my ESO Plus Sub and debating on whether to continue the month to month sub or just screw it and get the 1 year sub. That way I can save $40 US a year.

I got the year long sub. I figure as long as I play ESO I'll want the sub. When I cancel my sub will probably be the same time I quit playing.

2 accounts, both subbed for 6 months. When they come up for renewal I'll be subbing both for a year.

One year since its cheaper in the long run, but it sucks when that fee comes up in a time of financial stress. If you choose the year long option it might be wise to mark it down on your calendar so you won't be surprised when it comes due.

Subbed for 1 year. Play every day, even if just for 10 minutes. So definitely worth it. Wish I had done this a couple of years ago.

Up until I cancelled at the beginning of the year it was around 2.5 years of subbing, maybe 3.5, I can't remember since I was paying the 14.99 to play before it went to ESO Plus as well.

I typically sub for 3 months at a time, and cancel it and then renew it whenever I feel like it.

I typically don't play daily throughout the year, so I only sub when I expect I'll have more free time for a while, and now with the quarantine I'm playing more than I used to even on the weekends

I buy the year-long subs for both of my accounts.

I cancel them immediately after they renew, so I don't get auto-charged if something were to happen and I forget to cancel them.

I've been constantly subbed on my main account since game launch when the game was pay to play at launch, and even when they went to the optional subscription model later.

I had the 3 month plan sub, but I cancelled it recently, going to play without for a while until things get up to par (certain areas of the game).

6 month sub, i would use 1 year sub, but for some reason it cost more than 2x6month sub in my region

If you don't have any issues with ESO and plan on playing for a year then yes it would be a saving of 40 dollars. What happens if next month you quit playing? Your computer blows up or something like that. How much would you be losing?

Recently I purchased the last DLC and pre-ordered Greymoor. Since then ESO had a horrifying update and I quit playing. I won't be playing Greymoor and I lost money because I pre-ordered.

The same thing could happen to anyone pre-paying for an entire year. Pay for the year and who knows what happens next. It might cost you more than what you think you are saving.

If my computer blows up I'll only lose maybe a week - I can get a new one built, shipped, and set up in that amount of time. And since I don't chase meta, and the updates all work fine for me, a year on each account isn't an issue.

    I normally do yearly.

Although that does make it harder to cancel when one wants to protest an issue, like the EU server issues last year.

3 months max. I usually think ahead if I'm going to play much or not. Like during the summer time I just make sure to cancel so I don't get tempted to play. But when I play I do like to be subbed as I don't care to pay the inventory hassle with my own time.

I just have it on auto renew every month. Been subbed for years now. I should probably do a longer sub just to save money but I always never get round to it.

Been subbed month to month since launch, I take a month or two off from time to time when my gf and I go on vacation so I can just turn it on and off at will, plus I don't mind paying marginally more in the long-run if it helps to support a game I thoroughly enjoy. It is part of my budget and my projections let me know what I can and cannot afford three months in advance. If I can pay my bills then the rest is just gravy.

I know for certain that I plan on continuing to play for the next 12 months, so I just go with the 1 year membership. Can't tell you how happy I was when they added the 1 year option.

I subbed for a year, because it works out to be the lowest rate per month.

And on top of that, I got a discount on the sub price from the Steam store, because I'd just bought a large number of Crowns through the Steam store earlier in the week while they were on sale, and I was able to use my whatever-they-were tokens to get a nice discount on my next Steam store purchase, which was the sub.

    Win-win!

Monthly, since there isn't an option for anything else on console. If there were yearly subs, I would certainly have gone that route.

I sub yearly - it's cheaper in the long run, and it's basically a free crown pack to spend on housing and convenience faff like unlocking the Undaunted or Mage's Guild skill lines on new characters.

Wife and I do 3 months at a time. Save a little but not ready to jump on a 6 or 12 month sub till I see the game stabilize. Love the game but things seem to slipping to worse not better. For now, not going anywhere.

Monthly. Gives me the freedom to pull the pin at anytime rather than buy a 12 mth subscription with the possibility I could quit within a few mths (or decide to take a break) and be forever thinking that was a waste. I took a break for 6 or so months to give my PC to my partner so she could study. Glad a 12 mth subscription wasnt hanging over that decision.
