"No-CP" content should allow for 160 CP, rename to "Low-CP"

Once you hit max level, you begin earning champion points. In BGs, and other No-CP content, you are then placed against other players of max level between CP0 to CP810. However, gear continues to scale up to CP160. If you are less than CP160, you are at an immediate and substantial disadvantage, which is fine, no one really complains about this because you continue to build your character up to CP160. Once you are CP160, in No-CP content, you are identical to any other player. Therefore, effectively, No-CP content already requires CP160.

So, why not allow the use of 160 champion points for "No-CP" content and rename it "Low-CP". The intent of No-CP content is to limit the power creep long term players have over new players in competitive forums but to be competitive in the first place you already need to have 160 champion points. Having access to even 160 champion points, due to the way they scale, would be very beneficial for character build diversity, as now a lot of gearing options are more rigid due to not having access to these champion bonuses. I agree with the implementation of No/Low-CP for BGs and the option for Imperial City and Cyrodiil because I agree it is important to have a fair forum where players aren't subject to significant advantages that others may simply not have time to reach (CP810), but every single player who is competitive in No-CP is already CP160.

TLDR: Propose to change No-CP to Low-CP (160 champion points) as gear scales to CP160 anyway, allowing for increased build diversity.

I kind of like the idea, but i would prefer a cp rework rather. Cp pvp extremly dull and boring. You either end up stomping people or reach an endless stalemate. If you can put all points into one passive and you still have over 100 to spend for more you dont need to sacrifice anything. In non-cp there is a good trinity between sustain/dmg/defensive. You cant go massively into one of them without lowering both others. If they manage to keep it that way im on board.

You make a good point about the trade-off, though I do tend to think a mere 160CP investment will still require some trade offs while lessening the burden of having to build for No-CP then take that flawed setup into CP content since the trade-offs choices are no longer needed. I agree there could be some rework to the CP system, but that will obviously take a more substantial amount of work. While in the meantime, allowing the change to Low-CP from No-CP is an extremely simple change. I more so find it disturbing that we can't access the 160CP we are required to grind out in order to wear the gear we need in the first place. Considering that the primary intention of No-CP is to keep the forum competitive for the broader range of players, changing to Low-CP does not affect that primary purpose.

No thanks. I play no cp because I don't like the champion point system for many reasons.

I also think it decreases build diversity, not increases.
