Leveling of Cyrodiil keeps and performance impact

Do we really need for our keeps in Cyrodiil to continue undergo a metamorphosis as they level up as though we are all living through the introduction to Game of Thrones together? Every time a keep that we are defending/capturing levels up I personally get a load-screen as do most of our group, and enemy combatants, and naturally some of our friends lag out altogether. Likewise when the keep "flips" the accompanying loading screen can be counted on to signal success, or failure to defend or capture.

Admittedly, if game performance in ESO was where we all wish it was, this animation might be pretty cool - in my opinion. However, I think for most (all) of us performance is not at all where we want it to be, and removing a cosmetic animation like this one, which clearly adversely impacts many of us might result in an immediate benefit. We have after all seen changes made to the keeps previously such as the removal of the destructible ceilings of the cathedral style keeps, which I think had a much less perceptible impact on game performance.

If your beef with the game really is game performance, @Raammzzaa, keep upgrades are at the bottom of the list.

Think about how often they upgrade ... and then how often you are in the vicinity when they do upgrade.

There are higher priorities in Cyrodiil.

Sure...but ZOS changed keep upgrades to be more frequent than they were in the past to incentivize players taking resources, and they can change them back. I've also noticed the frequent loading screens on upgrade and bugged keep upgrades (particularly on postern walls at Chalman and Arrius, in my case.)

The real question is whether or not the increased speed of upgrades/downgrades actually had the effect ZOS wanted, and then whether or not that's worth the impact its having on players when it creates loading screens. Given that ZOS has changed it in the past, it's not like it would take substantial effort to revert the changes to less frequent upgrades.

(I'm not sure ZOS can do anything about loading screens on keep captures, but those are actually more annoying, since there's nothing like getting a loading screen in the middle of an active combat zone.)

The loading screen on keep flip is tactically disastrous for the defending faction - you're half dead to the new NPCs by the time you get back in.

It's every 5 minutes, I believe. Which is nuts. Load-screens-a-plenty. Used to be an hour.
Keeps once again have Degrade turned back on. However, the degrade rate is much faster; a Keep can lose a resource level in about 5 minutes instead of an hour.

I agree that overall performance is more of a priority but while we're all having skills not fire and fighting like we're under water, fewer load screens would slightly lessen the frustration and it's an easy fix. Literally a timer change, and the load screens players experience around keeps could be significantly reduced. Every little bit helps right now.
