Zos, more storage chests

We keep adding new sets, updating sets, changing classes so different sets now work/don't work. I've seen many threads asking for more bank space(personally think if you made eso + unlimited space subs would go through the roof) but why can't you add more chests?

Either your customers pay for them in crowns(you make money) or they spend more time in the game on writ vouchers, giving you more chances they'll spend in the cash shop. If you're worried someone will buy a bunch of chests and never subscribe, make the current number the limit and only eso + can buy more. You made inventory management a hassle and "eased" it somewhat for eso +. It's starting to catch up to some of your subs though.

No player is required to keep all the gear sets in the game, @Lumenn.

Are you aware a fully maxed account has nearly 4,000 inventory slots ... ?

That includes character bag space, bank space, mount bag space, and furnishing storage.

Are you fully maxed with what’s already in the game first?

Don't recall saying anyone is required to....let me read back, nope. Am I maxed out? Nope. Not gonna create 8000 alts just to max their bag space and log them over and over each day to get horse capacity just to carry more stuff. Would I crown/writ a chest so I can play the alts I DO have though? You betcha. Made a suggestion I'd like to see is all. Is that ok with you or should I take a month off playing, logging in and out for my new alts. Then do it again a year from now with more items.

Your solution is viable, but it's honestly a lot of needless extra work for those who don't want alts. Why should devs spend time doing anything with the game? Like fix bugs, add to the crown store, implement new content etc. Because those are things players/customers want.

They tested extra storage with the inventory pig and people cried about it being pay-to-win.
Not sure why ZOS would want to subject themselves to that again.

They could possibly give players extra inventory capacity without asking for more cash. I don't think most would "cry" about it then. This is merely my opinion however and don't expect everyone to agree. Actually I have more than enough inventory space in the game, but I don't see anything wrong with players asking for additional space.

@Lumenn just a quick fyi...….. I have maxed my character creation and a fair few are used for extra storage, I also have all 8 storage chests, ESO+ and many houses that act as garages for my excess furniture storage...…..

HOWEVER I also have the Inventory Insight addon so I do not need to constantly relog to find stuff, I just type it into the addon search bar and I know exactly what is where! :)
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

That would be great, but....Xbox unfortunately. Perhaps one day they'll give us the option, or I'll bite the bullet and go back to pc gaming like I did EQ 20 years ago.

Ok sorry certainly consoles get the rough end of the stick :(

I would hate to deal with the massive amount of stuff I have without my crafting bag and addons to locate it all! :)

Actually while pc has its perks, after 13+ years of updating and troubleshooting for EQ I find console refreshing. I wish we had a search function to know what vendor has what, and Xbox live has its quirks, but for a father/husband with a busy job and 5 kids from 7 weeks to 25 years old it's plug and play is....relaxing.

I'm not strictly against your suggestion. Especially for those people who are into housing, extra space is always nice. However, I don't think it's *really* that neccessary, especially when it comes to sets. I have to admit that I was in a similar situation at some point, trying to keep every piece of set that seemed to have potential, be it for future builds or imaginary alt chars. Then, knowing that I can farm whatever I want with a little effort, I decided, that all those set items are actually already stored somewhere in the huge bank space called "Tamriel", so I deconned everything except for the rarest items from the harder content or items with perfect traits. The result was amazing... lots of free inventory space a feeling of relief, just like after cleaning the loft of your house. :D
And if the dam breaks open many years too soon
And if there is no room upon the hill
And if your head explodes with dark forebodings too
I'll see you on the dark side of the moon

Absolutely nothing wrong with asking for more space. Would love to see it myself.
Also nothing wrong with ZOS wanting to monetize it, in my opinion. Not much different from refusing to buy mule toon slots.
Being able to Gift whatever product is a middle-of-the-road solution but I'd like to see them implement safer Crown Gifting if they want to seriously pursue that avenue.

    Please be serious.

    The inventory pig is absurd.

And we all know where it would end up.

Buy that one and sooner or later there'll be a 5000 crown inventory pig, cos it has magical sparkles.

    etc. etc.

Suggesting more obtainable with in-game currencies storage is not the same as this.

    This would be delightful.
I always wondered how this is handled internally though. Isn't that a lot of data? Thousands of gear pieces from all those people. Does that not take several terrabytes of memory on their servers? I know nothing about technology.

They just need to be smart about it.
SWTOR lets you have a LOT more alts (I think up to 100?).
EACH alt can have a cargo bay with 7 tabs x 80 slots.
Plus shared bank space of the same.
    Plus personal inventory of 80.
Plus free crafting bag for everyone, even non-subs.

Yeah -- people paying monthly to have more space. Or maybe buying mule toon slots.

If ZOS wants to monetize inventory space, why not? Just vote with your dollars whether you like that idea or not.
