Stuck halfway through 'Updating' on launcher

Went to reinstall the game after a break and i havent been able to get past half way through 'updating' as soon as the launcher appears.
The launcher does not respond to anything except killing it in Task Master,
I've already tried every troubleshooting options apart from fresh windows install which im not willing to do.

Restart your PC if you have not already.

Not saying that will fix it but I do not see you saying you have restored the machine and that is almost always one of the first steps with tech support.

If your download if via Steam that could be an issue as well. There is also another player having issues which I see you have noticed.

Ive tried that, tried uninstalling/reinstalling, flushing dns, forward porting, installing to a different drive, allowing it through firewall, completely turning off firewall, etc
Nothing seems to let it update

Hopefully, the other person replies with an answer that helps. It could just be it finally progressed for them. idk.
