I thought I'd give it a couple days before commenting, but Monday's patch did very little if anything at all to address performance issues. In two hours in cyrodiil I crashed to desktop only twice, but that is two times more than is acceptable. The latency may have been very slightly better, but there is still disconnecting issues. When more than 20 or so people are in the same location in Cyrodiil the lag spikes to the extreme and things stop working correctly.

Was 4/13 supposed to be a major performance improving patch, @TineaCruris?

I don’t remember seeing any ESO news articles or social media announcements that specifically pointed to this date.

Shocking that 5.3.9 did not fix the issues. We all had such high hopes after 5.3.8 did not fix it, and 5.3.7 also did not fix it. Before that we had 5.3.6 which did a great job of not fixing it. 5.3.5 was actually the first attempt at not fixing it, after 5.3.4 broke the game spectacularly. Although arguably it was actually 5.3.3 that caused the issues, because as far as I can tell there were no changes in the 2 weeks between 5.3.3 on PTS and when it went live in 5.3.4 (despite all the reports of bugs on PTS).

Thought 4/13 was just standard maintenance... right? That's what the banner was saying.

There was one note about performance improvement in 4/13 patch. Likely just some edge cases.
Made some improvements that should slightly decrease the amount of crashes and general lag in areas with lots of combat.

I just tried to PvP in prime time. There are no words to describe how horrible, lacking, failing, disgraceful, and every other adjective you can think of to describe something like that. What is going on here Zenimax?

With recent events of the free to play weekend and Jenna Marbels getting paid to play the game which resulted bringing her hoard of casuals. Look at steam charts, the game reached an all time high yesterday. Zos is not in any rush to fix their game lol.

Isn't it fair to assume every patch should have some degree of performance fixes in it? Even new content patches are an opportunity to address performance issues and as such, should be taken advantage of.
