I play on the PS4, so your method might vary, but let clicking the box remove all the contents of a container. Now we have to go into the container and then click that to remove everything. Just eliminate the extra step!

This would also have the benefit of keeping me from accidentally from learning a recipe when I am trying to quickly go through a bunch of daily crafting rewards or things like the current bonus anniversary boxes.

Sounds to me like you want the auto-loot option from Settings/Gameplay (assuming it's also on ps4).

I wouldn't mind that, but I am looking at opening things like the crafting reward chests. Summerset reward chests, Undaunted chests, etc.

The Anniversary event is a major issue for this. I like to the extra stuff, but try to use the recipes/patterns/etc. on my main, but frequently click them accidentally since I want to get through them reasonably quick.

Honestly, I think your best option for the time being is to just slow down:)

Yeah, I should spend even more time doing tedious things instead of playing the game!

Not a good idea. It is called quality of life....

You're not forced to do things you deem tedious. What do you mean "instead of playing the game?" Are the aforementioned tasks not part of the game? Honestly, the largest part of ESO, and any other MMO, is built around tedious/ repetitive gameplay.

It's a UI problem they should have fixed at least a couple years ago. When you open a container and pull a plan/recipie out of it, for some stupid reason it bumps your menu up to that plan/recipie instead of staying in the area with the rest of the containers you want to open. There's no reason for it to do that, really, and it's why us console users have consumed many a plan/recipe by mistake during events like this. It's been complained about before, and still isn't fixed. Alas...

I play on PS4 as well. You hit X to open the containers you're talking about, then hit square (I think) to loot everything.

While that it a inconvenience, , of all the convenience items I'd want on console, a way to organize my gear in a logical manner is about 100 spots above having to push 2 buttons to get all my pledge rewards. I mean, its 2 buttons

Pushing 2 buttons (with the system delays sometimes missing button presses) is not the only issue. It is the consuming of recipes by mistake.

Not a big deal for a single box or three. Much more of a pain for 20+ boxes.

Yes, it is a major annoyance.

As soon as they implement this you'll have people crying for a confirmation or changes because they looted the box and went over cap on Transmutes.
Sure, they could then make even more changes like checking this that or the other thing, but then there's no end to it.

They could just fix the issue where the menu gets moved up to the recipe area if one is looted.

Sounds like the main problem here is the consuming of recipes/plans, more then an autoloot issue.

This menu problem has been something consolers have had to deal with since forever. And even though I've bee able to mostly slow myself down to avoid this for the most part, I did have it happen a couple of times again this past event. :disappointed:

I feel for ya OP, but they've got bigger issues to correct currently and this has always seemed to be an issue they've ranked way down the list of fixes to get too.

It's a game built for PC then ported to consoles. Of course it's going to be clunky...

Somewhat true, but why do I have to go into a box to pull everything out? Just pull it all out in one action, whatever the platform.

I expect this would not be a huge time sync since it is existing functionality, but quality of life things are still worth doing.

Not moving to the recipe before would help, but doing this (and getting stuff from lots of mail) does take too much time.
