We have only 5 skill slots on the panel, but it’s no secret to give out DPS over 40, we must change the panel in battle and play like a piano.
Why can't I issue the same DPS using only these 5 slots?
Why are there only 5 slots if all, still use 10 slots as pianists?
Why is there no global recharge ( global CD) for all skills in 1 second? Due to the fact that your DPS is not there, it depends more on how fast you press the buttons and skip the animation with other skills, as well as the rotation of buffs / debuffs from the additional panel.

✭✭✭✭✭1. I assume you mean doing DPS over 40k as doing DPS over 40 is pretty easy. The secret is playing well. Find a good build as a starter and tweak it to see if you can get more.
2. Pretty much need all 10 slots and both ultimate slots to get the best DPS though I expect you can do half decent with only one bar. That is a choice if you want to do average damage, not good damage.
3. It is 5 slots and one ultimate per weapon bar. The idea is we can have access to more than one weapon for various reasons.
4. There is a GCD for all skills. It is ~1 second. So not sure what your issue is concerning GCDs.
Part of your problem may be this piano thing. If you are trying to play the game like a pianist then something is wrong. Unless you are trying to play the game like a first day 5-year-old pianist only pressing one key at a time.0 -

✭✭✭✭✭You might want to actually try any musical instrument before such a comparison, as it's beyond bad. And you can do one bar builds and put zero effort, but why should expect same dps to people who using both and actually optimising?1 -

✭✭✭I can confirm even at my humble grade 5 piano skills, this isn't a great comparison
There is in fact 8 notes in whatever key you are playing in and this doesn't account for tri-tone substitution or purposeful dissonance.
You usually play in at least more than one key too....
So yeah at minimal you are using 8 skills
You'll get there mate, after a while muscle memory kicks in and you instinctively press the right skills
