Option to pass on daily login rewards.

Just a simple thing. Option to not claim the daily login reward but pass to the next and next and so forth.

There is some stuff i like like scrolls and potions and stuff that some characters want and others donbt like poisons or meals.

Its a bit of a nuisance to hace to confirm every delete by typing DESTROY too, which ends up me cluttering my invenmtory with crown trash items i dont need but im in hurry so i dont delete either on that day..

Id like to pass these on my login or to be able to sell them to vendor with price of 0.

Just add an option when claiming the days login reward to either choose the day's item or a preset amount of gold.

If you don't want the days reward you get a fixed amount of gold for that day instead.

Yeah, that would work for me, but do that create inflation problems throwing gold to players in the future... Dont know. Maybe a very litle sum of money..

On the potion/poison/elixir/drink/whatever, it could be better to just let player choose what is needed, though that can be pronlematic for same items in crown store (As far as their greeding department is concerned anyway).

I would be happy with just a "Pass" option to proceed to next day and eventually the interesting reward in the end of the moth.

Right Click (or whatever your equivalent to get to the "submenu" for items) and "mark as junk" Base game functionality.

On PC I right click on the item and the little menu that comes up includes an option to mark as junk. The item then goes into your junk category. In the junk category, you can highlight the item. Looking at the bottom of the screen will tell you which hotkey to press to destroy all junk. No confirmation or need to type 'DESTROY'. On balance, I find it easier than the normal destroy procedure for items that require the DESTROY confirmation.

Yeah, OP is just asking for a "skip" button that is the equivalent of

    1. Accept
    2. Destroy

And doing that all in 1 step, since for many long-time players the rewards are not very usable.

Not to skip to the next day's reward.
Not to get some alternate reward that is more "useful"

Nah, doesn't work - if you look at the junk section of your inventory afterwards, these style pages and stuff are still there. The game is just not telling you, that the sale failed. Hm, I just see that you made another suggestion than I though it would be, I will try that, selling doesn't work this way.

I can allready claim the reward with chatever character i want to.

I really just want to press skip which does following.

    -Destroyes the item
    -Counts as "Claimed"

This way i can just easily skip a reward what no character needs but can still continue to next day and keep going towards the better rewards in the end.

    Its free stuff. Free. Stuff.

And now people are going like "Oh, its not good enough, not worth keeping... lemme skip to the one I actually want..."
    Sheeee-eesh!

If you don't want it, as has been said, junk it and get rid of it!

    Otherwise, read some Lorebook:
    The Gifted Guar

One day a farmer decided to give his daughter a gift. She had started a family of her own, and he wished good fortune for her. He chose his finest guar and brought it to his daughter's new home.

His daughter was delighted at this gift, but her husband only glared.

"You didn't even let us choose?" the husband asked angrily. "What if this guar is sick, or old, or weak? I must at least inspect it before it's left in our care!"

The daughter tried to calm her husband, but the farmer simply nodded and said, "You may examine this guar as you see fit."

The husband inspected every inch of the guar, even forcing the beast to open its mighty jaws to look at the state of its teeth.

"Well, it will have to do," the husband conceded, though he knew it was a fine guar indeed.

The farmer stroked his chin. "You know, I think you're right. You should be able to pick whichever guar you wish. I know there's plenty for sale in the local market."

The husband simply gaped as his father-in-law walked back home, guar in hand.

His wife slapped her husband's arm and told him, "You fool! Never look a gift guar in the mouth!"

It is free stuff, but often it's free stuff that some players don't need and will spend time destroying later on. I understand the desire to skip past things that are unwanted to get to the things that are.

However, I'd like to approach this issue from another angle. Nobody skips currency rewards. There is no downside. You take the 500g or 1000AP and continue on. You don't have to go deal with the inventory bloat later as it doesn't cause that inventory bloat that potions, poisons and other consumables cause. What if these crown consumables didn't interfere with your inventory? Would they be worth keeping at that point?

I propose that crown consumables take up no space in your inventory and instead are placed in an account wide inventory tab (similar to craft bag). Each player on your account can access them so it doesn't matter who claims them and if you choose to never look at that tab, no loss to you. If you want to use those tripots on a lowbie 2 years from now, you have a nice stash available. It gets them out of your way and adds a small amount of extra functionality to daily reward items (regular store items and crate consumables could gain this functionality as well). Some may say it's pay to win and they might not be completely wrong, but I say it solves the problem of "free" stuff not being worth the effort to even take.

This was my objection to the system too. I've seen what it's like in other games, and the daily rewards only fill up bags with stuff you don't actually use, which is why these rewards should be uncapped currencies or collectibles that do not fill up the bags and the players don't have to waste any thought on when they aren't interested in it, otherwise it just blocks inventory space, confuses new players, and doesn't feel like a reward at all. But the reply from the people here on the forums was "don't complain, it's free stuff". Well, to be honest, I'd rather not have this "free stuff" at all than have to do even more of the inventory micro management mini game every time I log in, especially when there is little to no benefit from doing it.

I do apreciate the free stuff. I just want to say this, so that people dont ,misunderstood me on this matter.

Some stuff i just dont need, so it would be nice to be able to just skip them.

Some people have talked about currency reward instead, if you dont want the item.. Some currencies might be problematic like gold, because it then could be farmed by some bot and then that could end up inflating market prices which is not good for new players and some old players as well. Some gold rewards is nice, as long as its npot too early on and too much.

One alternate thing could be just plain and simple experience. If you dont want the item, you can get some progress to characters level for example... Or some alternate currency, thats only usable for some items locked behind certain playstyles like PVE/PVP/Group PVE etc.. Want that color that requires PVP? Gain currency for it by skipping some rewards, gain it very slowly but still gain.. After a time, you could buy that dye... Or could use it for that Worm wizard personality for example... Just throwing ideas here :D

Basically, if I give someone a gift, and they say "no thanks", they wouldn't be likely to get another gift from me ever again.

So... if you are not willing to take it and decon it by hand, if you really cannot appreciate it... then I say such a button should come with consequences - of loosing the rest of the month worth of gifts. Or at least counting as "day missed" for the progression.

Learn to appreciate "gifted guars" instead of feeling entitled to the daily handouts and starting to whine about not getting anything you consider "good enough to keep"... and now gerroffmahlawn! :p;)

(Or just ignore my opinion, its just my own opinion after all. But I Will go and state it whenever I see such threads whining about how the free gifts are this or that...)

This is the best idea in this entire thread, since I do keep this stuff and use it on my lowbies but would love to free up the bank space it takes up until I make another new character. This is the perfect solution, similar to the craft bag, and it wouldn't be much of an issue since only certain items can go in there.

Agree with the standpoint that some things are unwanted and deserve a skip option. I'm not understanding why others in the thread object to just letting people have a button to reject the gift for that day. It isn't hurting your gaming experience, and doesn't deserve dire consequences. Back in Aion we had a reward calendar system that just passed over that day if you didn't claim the reward, so you never received it if you didn't want it but the calendar still progressed throughout the month.

Yes, but a QoL improvement whereby you could skip the item in one click instead of having to claim the item, access your inventory, and destroy it would still necessitate you logging in, so there would be no disadvantage to ZOS.
