So I'm thinking about making a Stamina Healer and am curious about the mechanics of this ultimate.

Specifically, I'm considering it as a lower-cost (125 ultimate for 8 seconds, reduced to 115 with Redguard) alternative to Warhorn (250 ultimate for 10 seconds) IF it actually works the way that I hope it does.

Its description is unclear though, stating that it "heals allies around you" once per second and that the healed allies gain the Major Force.

This brings up two concerns: Is this smart-healing or simply choosing an ally at random, as well as does the ability actually have to restore health in order to qualify for the Major Force? It is much less useful (likely useless, in fact) if it targets allies at random and only gives Major Force for restoring health (since you could only use it when taking damage as opposed to simply using it off of cooldown).

Any experience shared with this skill would be most welcome!

Smart healing, for duration of the ultimate it shoots at single targets around you (so max targets affected is seconds of the ultimate IF it doesnt shoot at anyone twice) .

You can see how thats very different to warhorn affecting 12 ppl around you

Also yes, all abilities 'heal' target even if they are full (called overheal) so they also apply the buff they give unless special clause for them is put in place

    Thanks that's great information!

This would just be for a dungeon healer which is why I'm wanting to get away from Warhorn if possible--it's simply superfluous to my needs in 4-man content if I can get better Force uptime with Light's Champion.

The reason for asking about overheal is due to sets like Transmutation which only gives the buff if actual damage was healed. I was afraid that the ultimate might act similarly but it sounds like it does not.

    Thanks again!
