I have an update! Last night, I received the following writ:
    For 352 writs, craft:
    Piece: Legs
    Trait: Nirnhoned
    Style: Bouyant Armiger
    Level: Legendary

Junky vendor chocolate pickle tasting wet willy to the left ear!

Seriously, there's no freaking way I can craft this writ!

    1) Bouyant Armiger is crazy expensive and 2) Nirnhoned? I don't even have one freaking trait learned from this!

ARGHHHHHHHHHHH! My best writ now completely useless.

Going to see if I can sell this. How much would a writ like this be worth?

The more vouchers, the higher the price because who does that writ is spending the same gold mats as required by a 47 writ but gaining a ton of vouchers, you can sell that for 400k.
I sold mine for 300k (it was a 276 or 278), I could have sold even at 320k, because the higher the number of vouchers the higher the convenience for the one who buy it, he's sparing a lot of mats to reach that number of vouchers, that's why those are the only cases you can still put it at 1k+ per voucher, you can't obviously do that for the low ones, the price per writ in that case is low because there is no high convenience.

Well, read @Leandor 's advice too ! :-) And make up your own mind.
I'm sure I could make decent gold with it, but believe me, my bank account is not suffering from a gold shortage.

Generally what I do is sell it in my guild store, then take the "profits" and deposit to the guild. Win-win, since I'm not really out for the gold.

I've been doing daily writs nearly every single day for months. Since the latest event started, I stepped it up to 7 toons every day. Still never received a single master writ.

I think u need to have a master level crafter or at least it drastically increases your chances

That's what I said before I have had all max crafters and one main crafter which knows every single thing they claim that effects MW droprates but my main crafter has never seen one over 110 since day one of homestead, also only about 3-4 MW's a month.

This isn't Rng, this is just some mess tbh, they really should just allow traits, motifs, patterns, recipes to be account wide since they don't do anything

...of course, the irony of this being jewellry crafting with the humongous cost in the chromium platings :D

How many platings do you need to improve a purple jewellry piece? Like five?

There's a jewelry crafting writ that gives 665 that I bought and did just for that achievement. Not worth it by far, but still :D

Gold jewelry writ for 635 - and yes, I completed it as I needed the vouchers on my second account as starting to furnish Thieves' Oasis....

In all honesty, at 600+ vouchers, that puts it more in the range of being worth it

I saw a gold jc writ last night with a craft cost ~450k. Assuming this writ is approximately the same, that puts mat cost/voucher at 745g/voucher. Iirc the rough maximums people are willing to do fall somewhere within 500-700g. Still on the pricy side, but if you've got the mats/gold and are looking for a large amount of vouchers, not totally unreasonable.

Just completed a JC master writ worth 606 vouchers. I've gotten a decent amount of other equipment mw's in the 300-400 range.

I've had several jewelry ones that were 600 plus. The most for a non jewelry writ was a 361 Blacksmithing.

If I had any use for the 3000-ish vouchers I have, I wouldn't hesitate :D But I gave up on housing, and there's not much else to spend these on.

I got a 282. Took 3 weeks to learn the trait I needed. I would put the picture up, but I haven't screenshot it, I'm not in-game at the moment to make the screenshot, and I'm a tad lazy.

The funny part is, I can complete it any time....
.... I just haven't gotten around to it ... which of course has nothing to do with the fact that I'm a bit on the lazy end of the spectrum.

Do the crafting writs at max level for a trade, and you have a chance of getting a corresponding master writ in the rewards.

Wow, these are all kinda low. I've gotten 2 jewelry master writs now, for 666 vouchers each. I did the first one, and sold the second.

[edit] ok, I just got to the 3rd page of comments and I see I'm not alone.

I think the issue is that this thread was originally from 2018 :#
