It's fangs, fangs, and more fangs as FANG LAIR fights MARCH OF SACRIFICES! Will the Lair be just another sacrifice in the March? Or will Hircine find this prey simply too elusive? YOU DECIDE!

A list of the overall action for BOTH the base and DLC competitions can be found HERE, so people can get a quick glance at the overall action.

All fights will go for TWO DAYS and end at 8PM CST (or your timezone equivalent; figure it out) so this one will end on Monday, April 6th.

FIIIIIIIIGHT!!!

    March of Sacrifices
Marsh of sacrifices has a daedric prince in the background, hircine, who has a amazing model. Plus the dungeon is a Great Hunt.

    March of Sacrifices
Beautiful, wide open setting, great fight mechanics, interesting story, spot-on scaling from normal to vet to hm. And the giant specter of Hircine in the background is stunning. MoS wins easily over Fang Lair.

I'm not interested in most of the DLC, they are too long, too hard, too much damage sponges, too much of a pain in the stuff.
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

    Fang Lair
March of Sacrifices has its beautiful corners, and the general atmosphere is really nice for a while.
But only for a while. Then, the permanent twilight loses its spell, and you realise that wispmothers are pointless, lurchers are annoying, and chasing scattered enemies through dimly-lit woodlands is a bit less exciting than you thought.
I really don't like the Tarcyr fight. Enemies that force you to experience all their mechanics by vanishing at regular intervals, are questionable anyway, but having to deal with crouching all the time and evading random stuff, is not fun.
Bonus points for the "Baby Hircine" bug, though. That is cuuute. :D

Now, Fang Lair has boring, repetitive visuals and a colour scheme so grey that you wouldn't even notice if you were to play the dungeon on a black-and-white screen. Funnily enough, the most colourful thing in the dungeon is probably the large door in the boss room - a door that you cannot use.
That said, I think gameplay in FL is much better than MoS. I find the bosses more interesting (having a boss consist entirely of adds, the tiger called "let's teach interrupt", the ghost with chains, and so on - the lich boss can by annoying if he wants to). The mobs in between are - I don't know, more focused? And I like the mechanics on the last boss, except - again - for the colour scheme: blue-ish ghosts in a blue-grey-ish room with grey-ish enemies is like playing Tetris blindfolded, and the main reason why I don't have much interest in ever doing the hard mode again. At least they learnt a bit when they recycled the idea for DoMalatar.
But then, FL also has the nostalgia bonus of basically living in the dungeon for weeks when trying to get the Worm Cult personality. :D
