Respec Attributes - Committing Points

One of my characters inadvertently used a respec attributes scroll. When I specified how many points to assign to each of the 3 attributes, a number like +2000 appeared to the left of the current attribute levels, but the character apparently had to level up to actually commit the points. Since the character had long been level 50 there was no apparent option to apply the points. How can my character get credit for the reassigned points?

You just reassign the attributes there is no further leveling involved.

the +2000 number you saw is just showing you how much resources that number of attribute points you have selected is going to add to your current health, stamina, magicka values etc... so you can work out how you want to spread out the attributes again.

I understand what the numbers mean. The problem is that they are not being applied to actually change the base values of the attributes. LEVEL UP/ATTRIBUTES keeps flashing in the Character menu. When I reload the character the menu again shows 64 points available to assign, with all the values I previously assigned missing.

If you successfully did an attribute respec on a level 50 character, I would like to know how.

if it's showing +2000 it means you haven't confirmed your choice yet, they won't be added to your total until you confirm, same as champion points

The champion points menu has a button to confirm choices. Look at the image of my character menu (URL above). I see no button or other means for confirming the choices. Before the character reached level 50 the leveling up took care of the confirmation. For a level 50 that is not an option.

In the lower right part of the screen (way outside the part shown in the screenshot) there should be an option to confirm.
On PC the default key is "E", don't know about gamepad/consoles.

Thank you. The E did the job. I was looking for something within the Character window and didn't think to look at the corner of the screen. It had been a long time since I had attribute points to assign.
