Max mag gear is king, the best sets for that are Crafty Alfiq and Bright-Throat's Boast. Bloodspawn is a versatile and good monster set. Spring-Loaded Infusion drink for food.

Skills have changed a bit over the last year.
Dampen Magic has now replaced the nerfed Harness Magicka.
Rapid Regeneration replaced Healing Ward.
On console, you need to use Destructive Clench for your stun, it's close-range now. On PC, Streak does the trick, it goes through block now.
Force Pulse lost its damage advantage over Crushing Shock, which is now the better choice. Elemental Weapons is also a top spammable choice.
Life Giver is the preferred resto ult morph now.
Fury has a long hit delay now and is probably not worth slotting outside of BGs.
Curse and Frags are unchanged, as is effectively Dark Conversion.
Hardened Ward got a nerf, as did all shields, but is functionally the same as always. Can be crit now and takes your resistances into account. Slotting Boundless Storm or equipping Mighty Chudan is therefore a must.
And lastly, Energy Overload is weavable and surprisingly good now, but the animation takes getting used to. Meteor is, of course, a good alternative.
