Nightblade class skills - Uses hell of a lot magicka?! Help please
Hey, im running a bow/dual wield khajiit nightblade
I have 2 points in magicka (lolz), 12 in health and 22 in stamina. I use full medium armor and stamina on all of it.

ANYWAY, the thing is, i use 2 class skills and thats it, i am almost out of magicka right away. How on earth are people able to run nightblades with pure class skills? Is it the rings/amulets with reduced magicka cost / max stamina that good??

✭✭✭✭✭Do not spam abilities. Magicka recharges pretty fast. Do a magicka-based attack, follow with a stamina-based attack, block a power attack, counter with your own power attack, etc.
Also, be smart about when to use what. Assassin's blade for instance is 4 times more magicka-efficient when used on enemies at low health (it costs the same but does 4 times more damage)0 -

Tamanous✭✭✭✭✭As mentioned, anything magicka based requires light armor and it's passives. Even if you put all your stat and gear stats into magicka it will cost too much to use often. Early one you may need more light armor but once you can get the stats out of gear you want at higher levels you can start replacing some with medium armor. I would imagine though that 1-3 pieces of light armor will always be required if trying to focus some gear stats toward physical damage.0 -

✭✭✭I am a pure Assassination/Shadow /dual wield daggers. I enchant my medium armor with magicka and magicka Regen /reduced ability cost. I don't even have it on all items since I hit the soft caps. I am level 27 though. I have 9 magicka/ 15 health and 2 dex . I think I have already wasted the 2 dex points
and probably 10 magicka will be enough for a long time. I have the magicka regen Boon but I will change it to more crit damage later.
The idea is mostly to have enough magicka for my initial rotation which for pve is enough to kill about 50% of what I encounter. If the battle is not over I just finish them with normal attacks and whatever pops up when I have mana.
The max magica food can also be useful if my equipment is not able to make it.

That's what I do but then again I usually only have 1 stam based ability on a single bar at a time and even then I blow through it pretty quicklyI don't understand why not put more into magicka? I have more mag than sta because of the class skills use to much of it. Am I wrong to do that?

Cybolo✭All class skills for all classes use Magicka, so if you run a pure class skill NB then you would want all your stats in Magicka and nothing in Stam. All weapon abilities (except staffs) use Stam so if you run a pure weapon NB you would want all Stam and no Magicka. So as Sihnfahl said, if you run both weapon and class skills then you want a mix of both stats and armor to be effective.0

Bhakura✭✭✭✭My nightblade has 0 magicka points and 0 magicka gear, never run out of magicka except on dungeon boss fights. because i spam killer blade when boss is about to die.
Stop blindly spamming skills maybe?

DGVish✭✭Once you get Siphoning Attacks Magika will become a non-issue. I went with a full health build focusing on destro/healing staves and I didn't have many mana problems until I got SA and now I have absolutely none. I can cast heals for days with it toggled.0

killedbyping✭✭✭✭You simply do not put ANY points into magika because it doesnt bring you anything usefull.
All of damaging class skills of NB become totaly useless after lvl 20 and it doesnt matter how many you invest into magika. Weapon ability will still do far more dmg and keep growing.
As for now, class skill are only suitable for utility. I basicaly use only stealth and surprise attack for a long duration stun.
Nothing else usefull in either PVP or PVE. All of the dmg those ability do barely compared to a light attacks ...
Well, mark the target could be very usefull (and also very dengerous) but it doesnt work.0
