Damage math - fix it

Will someone please explain how I have 29k health, all impen gear & am getting hit with the executioner skill for 14.7k in cp Cyrodiil?

I know my resist aren’t great but I’ve put a majority of cp into mitigating these % based multipliers.

It makes zero sense to me how this game allows a single skill to remove 50% of your health, while I stack over 5k spell damage & seem to be beating on people for days w/out them dying....

@ZOS fix your game...

You just answered your own question saying your resistance isn’t great, buff up, use hot’s, use los, block, shields, etc.

You also might have been hit with onslaught which ignores resistance so yeah there’s that too. People complain about using resto ults, but imo onslaught is even more cheesy.

Why does someone admit their resistance is not that great when complaining about the damage they are taking.

@Sanctum74 , I didn’t mean it as much on the literal side as I did the “why is this allowed”.
What is upsetting to me is that I play a nightblade & if ANYONE should be hitting that hard it should be the “assassin archetype”, not the tank(dk), not the healer(templar), not the “I was invented as a support/buff class(warden), but the freaking primary damage dealer!

But in ESO-world this is completely reversed where everyone gets to hit me for 50% in 1 move & my attacks w/5k spell dmg are wet noodles.

Like I said ... @ZOS fix your game

You really did not need to tag me.

There is so much left out of your post that is germane to the issue. If you were low health that skill should do heavy damage since it is an executive. Also, the targets you are not doing much damage to may have high resistance and you might lack penetration making all that spell damage do less damage.

So no, with that little bit of information we have no real idea what is actually happening.

They probably hit you with onslaught first, it’s the cheesiest cheese in the game

All impen gear but what's your total crit resist in CP? Should be 3k min.

I know I have hit guards for over 50k with an execute. A lot of it at one time is the damage calculated and crit but in reality they don't have that much health left to begin with.

I walloped a NB yesterday who healed into stealth right in front of me and they just happened to get a sub assault I cast like 20 minutes earlier flush them out, onslaught, and executioner right back to back to back.

I can’t answer for all of the details, but I’ll say what I know/remember.
I use onslaught in my build, so I should be negating their resist w/my 5k+ sp dmg.
I was fighting a few people ~5, and my health was ~80%, not complaining about dying, just super surprised/annoyed to see 14.7k executioner on my recap (I don’t think I’ve seen impale ever hit that high) & with all my damage it seemed very hard to kill them even though I didn’t spot a “main healer” amongst them.
