Aside from the issue that there's so many existing characters that are one class or the other, I like how you can be a normal player everybody thinks your just a regular sorc or whatever, then bam! You a big bad wolf.2 -

I like that about vamps/werewolves too. Not to mention that vampires/werewolves are NOT classes. There's a reason why NPCs usually have a sub-name as well. Aka: Vampire Necromancer, Vampire Nightblade, etc...2 -

Ideally I'd like 50% of the effects of Pursuit and Savage Strength, with half the poison weakness to make it fair. That is if the new vampire gets to keep its buffs on top of new Vampire Lord ones. please explain a bit why:
- we need a new class (I think we don't)
- why werewolf needs to become a class
- why not a better alternative than werewolf
- how will the limited nature of a werewolf lead to three (!) skillines
- what to do with the current werewolf disease players can get
- how this will fit TES lore (it doesn't, werewolf was always a disease a player could get and never a class)
- why do we need players running around in town as werewolves anyway? This idea is for those people who want to show off 'look how cool I am', while they are not and nobody cares

✭✭NoEnlighten me what would the class use in their humanoid forms? I mean the Vampire/Vampire Lord would make a much better class because it would have more options to go for it and vampires shouldn't be a class but that would be far easier to implement. I mean it has a lot more powers then a werewolf and vampires have many different kinds of abilties seen in other games they could add to such a class. Werewolves just do not have that flexability. Even if they somehow turned into a class, Werewolves would still be limited they also don't have much in the way of magical abilties and would be restricted to melee anyways. As the main theme of werewolf is being in a monstrous form.
No what they should do is overhaul the werewolf to actually be a viable option players want to use. Passives useful in humanoid form like what was suggested they also need to be buffed and mechanics and costs changed maybe a power attack like the Skyrim Werewolf and also other things to make it a hundred times better. It can be made viable and very useful and desired without making it an entire class.
Its also a curse/gift an augmentation the reason why its even in Eso is because Players expect to become one along with vampires as those have been augmentations that have been added to many of the single player games. That is the reason why they added in the Vampire and Werewolf skill lines in the first place.
They are just augmentation gifts/curses that grant abilties. It shouldn't be a class and it does not need to be a class. They are magical afflictions and should remain that way.Edited by Thevampirenight on March 27, 2020 10:39AMPC NA

✭✭✭✭✭NoImho. WW skills should not deal 25% more dmg and be 25% more expensive, but instead each WW skill should have 1 or 2 effects more vs other skills in game, to compensate for the huge "kiss-curse" WW has (that imho Devs did not took into calculations).
Unlike Vamp, you can only use WW skills in WW form, and you don't have access to Ultimate Ability. You can not use your class / guild / world utility skills. You are locked with preset of skills.
Think of it, like for example, trying to make a build that will only use weapons skills form one the type of weapon. Even if you will make it 2 bar, you will still be using same skills and will be missing a lot, and your build will be handicapped.0 -

Its a silly idea. We already have a WW system, and it works just fine for how its intended - as an acquired condition that allows shifting into werewwolf form. Which by its very concept can -never- be a class, any more then "psijic" can be a class, or "blacksmith" can be a class, or "thief" can be a class. Doesn't fit the ESO system.
Of course, in the future werewolves might someday get some DLC to shine as well, much like Vampires might with the upcoming "Greymoor"... but that's up to ZOS. And a different discussion.1 -

Class is just a spell list, which for anyone who plays D&D, should be very familiar, and in general is common in MMOs.
Werewolf is not a spell list. Therefore, it will not work as a class.
And remember OP, in The Elder Scrolls, anyone can become infected with Lycanthropy. It is not restricted to who you are.
Sure, most people will not be able to control it. But that just reinforces my point.
Class, by its very nature, is pretty much impossible to become involuntarily volatile, unlike Lycanthropy.
