A question on Name and Race Change Token

Do they ever get a discount? I was waiting for a sale offer to buy it, but is it a thing? I don' t remember seeing it before

    There was a 20% sale last year in February 2019, but that was specifically when ZOS reworked all the racial passives in addition to giving every account 3 of each type.. There was also a 50% sale on race change tokens in Jan 2018, and maybe other times.

    So yes, they do go on sale, but its up to you whether you want to wait for an unknown date in the future.

    I'm pretty sure I got the Race/Name token on sale and I started playing in April last year.

    I'd like to buy 18 name change tokens and actually have a plan in naming my characters instead of it being a 5-second afterthought when creating each new character but 2,500 crowns per token is about ten times too much.

    I still don't get why the appearance change is 1K Crown but the name change is 2.5K Crown

    Your name identifies you and has a reputation associated to it, though most folks go by @name, a surprising number of players just have player name on and don't see the @name. So they are trying to avoid folks changing a character name to distance themselves from a bad reputation etc.

    That would be my supposition to the logic used when setting those prices.

    I ended up basically wasting my name change tokens, still have 2 race change tokens, saving those for an unexpected nerf.

    Yeah, I basically wasted all of mine and they are so expensive...

    You can change your userid (@name) for free, though.
