Bugged group finder gave me time penalty...

Couldnt find a group in my guilds or zone so I made the mistake and queued for veteran City of Ash 2 as a tank. I got group together with the usual "Jump failed, instance is full" bug.
Since I could not join, I asked the group members to kick me, which they did. Now I got a time penalty as you can see in the screenshots. And its not the first time it happened.
Can anyone explain why did you add the time penalty for people who get kicked from their group?
Are we getting punished for using your bugged group finder?

They need to be punished, way more harshly than currently.
Few innocent casualties are price of that and it is acceptable.2 -

✭My guess because you're not inside the dungeon. Happened the same for me and I got penalty too, but when I got kicked from inside the dungeon (when landed in an ongoing dungeon where some bosses where already killed and couldn't do pledge I asked for kick) that didn't give me penalty.
So my guess it depends on if you're inside or outside of the dungeon when you're kicked.1 -

● You get the penalty everytime you get into a group
● If the game ports you out due to "Removing from instance" caused by a kick, the penalty goes away.
You can ask 2 friends to group with you, you travel to any dungeon, and then, ask them to kick you, it removes the penalty, and yeah, its a bug, but so is not getting your penalty removed instantly on kick2 -

I dont think it goes away if you get kicked while inside a dungeon. I got a group directly in last boss the other day, asked kindly to get kicked, they kicked me and I got penalty again.0 -

Happened to me once. I queued up for vet Depths of Malatar, and almost immediately after I got into the dungeon two of the group members bolted (this is why we need separate non-DLC and DLC random vet queues, so that people like me who want to do the dungeon don't have this happen). I stepped out of the dungeon to finish looking through the guild trader I had been browsing when the queue popped, and then the last player left the group thus disbanding it, and I got hit with the penalty.
The thing is, there really is no point to waiting at the beginning of the dungeon for the group finder to find replacements, as you can't really do anything until then (especially with something like vDoM).This creature called a songbird. What a devious creation! This winged nuisance erodes sanity with its incessant chirping. What a brilliant form of torture!0 -

Ive had this happen a few times although most of the time I have found that if I give it a minute or so I can travel to a player in the group.
Other one I have had recently is when group finder matches I click yes and nothing happens doesnt say someone has declined invite or group formed etc literally nothing so I come out of queue and have then been hit with the cooldown.0 -
