Asking for a friend who is thinking of getting the game given the current situation. (Please refrain from that topic, I'm simply explaining why he's stuck with this system.)
How would it run, do you think? Thank you.

Laptop manufacturers also have to cut some corners when fitting hardware components into the compact size of a laptop, which usually takes its toll in the form of overheating and unstable frame rates. You might find a good egg, but investing in a gaming laptop is a bit of a gamble in my opinion, especially with the uncertain state of ESO's performance right now. I'd actually recommend putting that money towards building your own rig tbh, since that laptop is gonna cost more than a console anyway.

Buy a desktop... Why buy something that is unrepairable and you're forced to toss out if board fails?
Board fails on desktop its a cheap replacement most of the time. On laptops it becomes 70-90% of cost of the unit.
So do yourself favor watch basic how to build pc videos from gamer nexus or Linus as well read guides and build it. In the long run you'll thank yourself.
as well keyboard replacements. Hopefully that unit is not a whole top cover replacement.((Most are. Which means more costly to replace.))
Also low end laptops cooling solutions are horrible most of the time. Heat will eat that unit alive over time if you do any serious gaming.
Yes it will be fine. You don't need ultra or extra high to have fun.
