PvP certainly has not improved. I've been getting more disconnects in Cyro if anything. Thoroughly fed up as Im trying to rank up in Alliance ranks but its proving to be impossible.

After lurking patently for months on this issue. I decide to post for the first time. WTF. Please I will pay for you to go back to the busted *** **** you had at the start of the year.

For the constructive piece of this...pvp. It is many players endgame. Please, repair this or risk losing us. Skills still lag out during primetime (90% of when I and many other play). It's as if most things didn't change from two weeks ago. Skills still seem to be lagging, but it feels a bit different. It can by funny for a few minutes as opposing players just seem dance around each other, not able to do any combos/damage.

Burst combos are the main way to defeat players, but if your skills are iffy...what's the point? Oh, wait, I'll just join a zerg, prob solved.

    I know I'm a cynical ***, but I feel a bit better now...a bit better.

    Thanks!

Better but still awful. Certainly not in a state to say we're ok until the next major update.

Man. I guess I was just lucky this time. It's crazy how some can be fine and some not with near identical hardware.

I made exceptions for eso64.exe for my firewall, and opened the recommended ports, dunno if that helps at all.

The loading screens, even for jumping to various wayshrines are looonnger
Tenesi Faryon of Telvanni - Dunmer Sorceress who deliberately sought sacrifice into Cold Harbor to rescue her beloved.
Hisa Ni Caemaire - Altmer Sorceress, member of the Order Draconis and Adept of the House of Dibella.
Broken Branch Toothmaul - goblin (for my goblin characters, I use either orsimer or bosmer templates) Templar, member of the Order Draconis and persistently unskilled pickpocket
Mol gro Durga - Orsimer Socerer/Battlemage who died the first time when the Nibenay Valley chapterhouse of the Order Draconis was destroyed, then went back to Cold Harbor to rescue his second/partner who was still captive. He overestimated his resistance to the hopelessness of Oblivion, about to give up, and looked up to see the golden glow of atherius surrounding a beautiful young woman who extended her hand to him and said "I can help you". He carried Fianna Kingsley out of Cold Harbor on his shoulder. He carried Alvard Stower under one arm. He also irritated the Prophet who had intended the portal for only Mol and Lyris.
    ***
Order Draconis - well c'mon there has to be some explanation for all those dragon tattoos.
House of Dibella - If you have ever seen or read "Memoirs of a Geisha" that's just the beginning...
Nibenay Valley Chapterhouse - Where now stands only desolate ground and a dolmen there once was a thriving community supporting one of the major chapterhouses of the Order Draconis

Game no longer crashes i will give them that, but the lag in Cyrodiil is worse, we now have more annoying visual bugs on top of the ones never fixed since launch.

The game is regressing back to Beta stage.

8 man dc group -break deep into Ad territory to get scroll -get past ep zerg in keep-get past ad zerg in keep -corner enemy with our scroll on D ring in keep crawling with more enemy...rewarded by Zos with two of us hard crashing and the other 6 instant death. Freaking fantastic.

Played Cyrodiil like 10+ hours yesterday, and can say it was a lot better for me than last week. Bar swap, tap blocking and ani cancel worked a lot better and faster, i could get on my mount instantly, not for it to take 2-3 seconds like last week most times.

+ Since maintence it has been playable for me. Things worked way better.

    - Stuns make people slide on ground, when i get Meteor or Leaped or something.. i slide on ground, sometimes rather long way and have to gap close back in.

    - Random ping spikes are still there though, and occasionally has to press a buff 3 times before it activates.. But it has nothing to do with a big battle, being idle at gate and not in combat or even near can still suddenly get these weird 300-999 ping moments and i usually have a steady 30-60 ping in other games, lately at ESO best it is between 60-90 when steady.

At primetime (EU evening) it affects both PVP and PVE activities. So the performance gets worse when both sides of the game has the biggest mass of players logged in. And thus, the truth is: server cannot handle this many primetime players.

Sidenote: i`ve felt taking off all trading addons (ATT, MM, TTC) while playing both pve & pve improves the performance from a little to clearly noticeable (depending on time and day, weekends are the worse time at PC EU). Something like 100k people using them and those doing constant server queries on its (trade) history can be one thing that makes the server sluggish.

I know, will get hate for saying this and would hate to live without those addons too myself, since used to use them (outside of pvp) too.. but i have a feeling we would have a bit more healthy and steady server without those. ESO code/server seems not to able to handle all of it the bigger the population gets. Proof was when they did cut the guild history access so MM and so on did not work - the performance DID improve instantly and was noticeable. I hate saying this so if some traders gonna throw stones at me for it.. then do it - i don`t care. I trade stuff myself a lot and love the addons, but.. if there was a choice of a better working game and addons that makes trading quicker and easier.. i`d choose the better performance. Obviously i`d like to have both, but it seems impossibru lately.

This actually is quite good reasoning. Constant flood of querries for sure makes a lot of impact on server load, if they could lmit or controll frequency of such comunitaction, it would help a lot without any doubts. One thing though that doesn't fit to this theory. During prime time the biggest impact can be felt when large groups of players appear (ball gropus, zergs, trial groups), and this can't be related to trading history. When you are in Cyro, you can literally feel when two big groups are clashing eachother.
"We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available."
    — They always claim they’re “investigating” the causes, but in reality they’re just waiting until the PC EU players go to bed. Once that happens, you can suddenly log in again and they happily mark the issue as Fixed.

Hard to say really as performance is still really bad for me, especially potential memory leak that is back in full force at least in pve.

Things kinda improved as i can press skills and they will actually go off but overall feel is more sluggish and delayed, maybe it's a lack of synchronization with animations now but hard to define exactly. Combined with some cast times we got recently it's abysmal.

It is way better since Monday again. For me it was great already after the initial Harrowstorm patch till they destroyed the well functioning one within one week. Now its great again, I can actually use skills and imagine that they actually fire it is awesome. I was so weirded out actually how great it was, that I thought combat would feel odd, till I got that it is because there is no delay anymore and my head is not used to it.

So, I decided to test the update so far, albeit we arent at primetime, but a considerable amount of people are at home atm, so yeah.

First impressions, Ill be damned, the ability delay is considerably, if not completely better. My dots are actually ticking properly, my burst abilities are firing quickly, and my abilities from invis are working properly. Lots fan still needs a little work, but it is firing WAY more reliably. I will report back obviously when prime time hits. But if I just have lag, thats at least a step in the right direction.

How have your guys' impressions and experiences been?

doesn't feel any less laggy for me.

I pretty much PvP 95% of the time. For me yesterday on no cp pc EU I had the best connection and most reactive gameplay I've had in a while. Unfortunately like I've stated before I can't say if it was the update or the fact that I opened ports and made exceptions in my firewall. 😬

I too have deactivated all add-ons in cyro except for dressing room. I noticed TTC dies slow down the game considerably for me, map pins is the biggest offender.

Combat and lag is still abysmal. Skills won't go off, bar swap buggy, skill bar gets locked for longer then normal, infinite load screens. I could go on but whats the point.

I'm happy with the fix, it's definitely an improvement. (Primetime still not well, but any other time works a lot smoother now)
I can break free a lot faster. I no longer have to wait for the full stun to end and still see my character break free and waste stamina!
Also skills fire most of the times now, before that was not the case, even in off times.

Hey it's definitely an improvement since the patch xD....
Gotta see a tiny bit of light between the darkness.

On a modern router opening ports shouldn't really make much difference. I was going to do this, but after reading found that it won't have much/any impact if you have a reasonably modern router.
