The state of break free is beyond unacceptable (PC NA)

Seems like most of the stuns in the game become unbreakable about 50% of the time, and nearly every stun is taking several attempts to break free of. Leap takes multiple attempts to break free of and often causes you to slide without getting ability usage back for a full 1-2 seconds. Reverb takes multiple attempts to break free of almost every time. Streak takes multiple attempts to break free of almost every time. Dawnbreaker seems to be a particularly bad one, often becoming fully unbreakable even in non-laggy scenarios like duels or battlegrounds.

Many instances of break free are causing your character to start the break free animation, then stand still with no ability usage or movement as if still CC'd. The second attempt at breaking free then allows you to actually break.

This is destroying combat and is likely a direct result of the changes to block, just like many of the other combat/performance issues happening currently. The fact that spamming block disconnects you from the server for MESSAGE RATE LIMIT is a testament to this.

You really should be reverting these changes, not testing fixes that are almost guaranteed to not fully solve the issues. It is amazing that such a gamebreaking change was allowed to go live, and how little attention it is actually receiving. Do you even care about the portion of the playerbase that focuses on combat, or is your focus solely roleplayers/housing & cosmetic enthusiasts at this point?

    Can confirm. This is happening on Xbox as well. I mean, it's sort of always been like this in Cyrodil, but it's 1000x worse since the patch. At least now it's not draining my stam while trying to break one of the 2349783497354 CCs and stuns coming at me with no cooldown. This is happening whether it's a 1v1 fight or a 1v60 zerg attack.

    I'd love to have a lot more useful crowd control in the game- but that can't happen until they fix breakfree or there'd be riots.
    Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

    Yeah the hard cc desyncs are a huge pain in the butt and have gotten worse since the last patch. Either you get hit with the stun but the window to break is delayed so you have to wait for the server to catch up before you can break free, or the window to break free occurs normally, you break free, get the animation and yell that your suppose to get when you break free and you are still cc'd and have to do it a second time, or your character just stops responding because your cc'd but have not gotten any animation or message saying your cc'd. Its incredibly annoying and would be nice to get fixed as soon as possible.

    I think the issue is they keep trying to take a short cut. Answer has always been for being cc’d to apply cc immunity, not for it to apply after successfully breaking free.

    I actually think there might be a cast time on break free that’s interruptible, it’s silly.

    cc immunity is an absolute joke. Between the skill lag, desyncs, render lines, etc things are bad enough... but the cc problem is so pervasive and such an annoyance, I really have to take a break from PvP.
