Can't figure out how to get rid of the block animation. It just shows up and then it won't go away no matter what I do.

✭✭ZOS heard perma blocking was an efficient survival tactic for players, so they made it more accessible for all!Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.9 -

It's been a visual bug for maybe 2 years now.
ZOS hasn't really commented on it. I think it's a low priority to them because it's "only" visual.The road to hell is paved with good intentions.

The effect is purely visual, and if you look closely the "shield icon" brightens when you actually block - meaning that a 2nd one is being overlaid on top of the 1st.
I can't recall this bug ever happening to me before U25, either.1 -

AnonomissX✭✭✭✭I never had it happen to me until the Xbox Console update Tueday. I was in Cyrodiil and boom shield at all times. Very annoying to be sure. But what takes the cake is having that shield on while riding your horse! That is insta-barf right there. Good going, the update literally making your customers nauseous XDEbonheart Pact, Nord Templar/healer on NA Xbox server. My main toon WAS a tall and foxy redhead - now she has been gamma-irradiated and has green skin and black hair. 3 other characters I only use for writs. Can't be bothered to create multiple toons - EXCEPT now my WW is getting spooled up for Cyrodiil - Blood For The Pact! IRL cranky sometimes redhead chick at large in Las Vegas, NV1 -

✭✭It happened in Summerset some when it first came out. Then it went away. It happens in Cyro and in PvE.
In Cyro I travel to IC and back and it goes away. In PvE I travel to a house and it goes away. In the meantime I just fight or whatever until I can do one of those things. It’s annoying but it seems to only be a visual bug.2 -

✭Not sure if it's the same thing but this happened to one of my characters with elsewhere. Some of my skills wouldn't work too though at times so maybe not quite the same. After weeks of bug reports I had one reply telling me to take off ALL gear and die(i chose slaughter fish) and it hasn't came back since.0 -
