Repentance... Who gets the benefit?

Just a little curious as to the wording on repentance. I know it still gives the static increase to health and stamina regeneration for the player, but when activated does the player only get the benefit, or do allies gain the health and stamina from it as well? Thanks for your responses.

Most likely only the templar activating Repetance gets the benefit.

I'm pretty sure it restores health and stamina to all nearby allies as well.

So... repentance only restores health and stamina to the caster. Its a buggy skill. Sometimes you need to activate it multiple times to hit a each corpse near you. Sometimes the beams of light from the corpses glitch and and follow you across the map. Its a good skill under lvl 50 in pve.

    No it doesn't.

    No it doesn't.

Yes it does, at least in a aura around you, I am not sure how big that aura is however.

@Therealshur No. Repentance only restores your own heal and stamina per corpse consumed. Are you sure you're not talking about the other morph: Radiant Aura? I've been using repentance as a tank for a while now and have never seen it heal any team mate, nor have I heard from them that I healed them. I have also never seen my health and stamina restore while a teammate used it.

the entire radiant aura skill and its morphs are horribly broken and needed to be overhauled - i´m absolutly astonished that has not been realised in the private beta.

It restores only templar resources as others said. But Radiant aura do works: cast it and ask people around to open their character panel-their health and stamina regen will be overcharged. Skill doesnt ''heal'' it increase regeneration rate.

Thanks both for your insights, the wording really is kind of strange. I was asking from the view of a healer. Obviously leveling repentance will be a hot skill, but end game if you use it I see radiant being the stronger version.

Repentance restores stamina and health to your whole party around you. It doesn't say so in the description but it DOES. It is AMAZING when clearing trash in dungeons. (I'm a vet10 templar that uses it constantly, both in solo and in dungeons)

I am 100% positive its only on the caster... Those beams of light are going to the caster from the corpse after all...

Then either I/you are blind or the ability is horribly broken. We seem to have had opposite experiences. But as far as the tooltip and animation goes, I'd say its supposed to restore only the caster.
Edit: I've been searching across the internet and the repentance morph only applies to yourself. I got my info from VR guides to Templar tanking:http://www.tesoelite.com/forums/threads/guide-to-templar-tanking-at-veteran-rank.3022/ And from some other sites.

Perhaps you are the one that needs to stop being an ignorant *** that spreads disinformation without actually knowing the truth. Here is a combat log screenshot showing repentance healing the people around me, they arent even in my group. http://i.imgur.com/UN7hr8X.jpg

I have tried this in every dungeon I have healed and even asked teammates to make sure it healed. Repentance in my spec heals others around me, no question. Perhaps its a bug or perhaps it is piggybacking off some other skill/trait I have, I am not sure, however it definitely heals others.

Not to argue with you by any means, and if we were wrong then thank you for correcting us. But i often play duo templar with friend and hes Repentance never affected me. Really dont know what is wrong then. I said templar only because:
-seen it myself, never got a heal from it, we actually tested it, killing bunch of mobs and i was doing my best to dont have full HP to see it effect. Nothing.
-tooltip says clearly ''Target:SELF'' but it can be just wrong description, so its less important.

Any other templars can confirm which version is actually correct?

Also i see you using plugin for combat log @Saracen, is it possible that with limited information we have access to now, after recent changes, said plugin can actually give wrong info? From what i remember it is not possible to access ANY information about other players except HP, how it can show heals on others then?

Again, not to start argument, really would like to know what makes it work for some, and doesnt work for others. Because it is reason why i choose other morph, after looking for info, asking players etc. I dont need self heal which also need corpses around(seems pointless in PVP for example if you are solo and not in middle of big battle).

You can see your outgoing heals on other players, the information is not incorrect, I've seen the effect of healing others with my own eyes as well. I would have recorded a video but I figured a screenshot would suffice.

Ok thank you for answer then. I guess that skill is somehow bugged/not always working then, but im gonna test it with my friend again tonight, as it 100% changes my opinion about this skill.
And no need for video, was just curious about it as it seems i remember it wrong about what you can and cant see/get access to. Screenie clearly shows effect of it on others around you, no doubt.

That was something I noticed in the screenshot Rizzit, unless you can't monitor other teammates stamina gain from your skills (I.e Luminous Shards). None the less, Sarcen's shot has totally changed my view on this skill as well.

Okay I'll have to admit I was wrong here guys. Stupid thing is it never worked for me, but at the dungeon yesterday it did, but my teammate also restored my stamina. So the effect is indeed on allies/groupmembers.

Btw @Sarcen‌ no need to call me ignorant *** , since the skill doesn't allways work as intended + tooltip sucks + I provided sources from another VR player. And like you've seen I'm not hesitant on admitting when I'm wrong. I'm just not gonna believe someone on his word when I have had different experiences.

Repentance definitely heals the health and stamina of all members near you. It's borderline OP in pve. I can probably link a video of it working if you need. I will say, for me, it's the single most potent healing ability templars have when mass grinding or clearing trash in dungeons.

I use this spell quite a lot in my adventures and it does effect anyone near me. This is not a broken ability.

This ability is a god send for PvE.

Think this about sums it up. If you are a Templar, basically you want this skill, because when it works it is invaluable. Just like many other skills amongst ALL classes however, it could be broken and not work at certain times. Take it with a grain of salt.
